Mark Bejeweled ring

Mark%20ring.gif
Cocktail rings have been hot for quite some time now, and with green being my favorite color, I can’t resist this Bejeweled ring by Mark. It’s definitely a steal at only $12 and you’ll make quite the statement with this large, gold baubbled ring with its beautiful emerald-colored stone.

This cycle's second episode of "Top Model" was all about 'going green' and making a statement--not just about fashion. The girls had to pose in a controversial first photo shoot to campaign against smoking. The girls' first shot was a glamorous photo of them smoking, but their reflection in the mirror showed the horrible effects of their smoking. Most took the shoot seriously and tapped into their emotions really well to create a tragic look. Although Mila still produced a good tragic photo, she couldn't take the shoot seriously because of the crazy hair style she had to wear , which sadly, is reminiscent of what it could be like to lose your hair after chemotherapy.

MTV's "The Hills": Lauren Conrad vs. Heidi Montag tees

Comments (1)

Heidi%20vs.%20Lauren%20team%20tees.JPGYou either love or hate MTV's "The Hills." But if you've decided it's a favorite--the dramatic decisions don't stop there. You are caught between the show's two most controversial pseudo-celebs, Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag. Whose "team" are you on? Lauren, the cute, non-confrontational beach babe? Or Heidi, the mean friendless bridezilla who has screwed everyone over to get to the top?

While procrastinating at work, I came across this Check Wrap Coat by Burberry for $1,395 and realized I'd seen something just like it while shopping at Urban Outfitters the other day. At Urban the Lux Little Edie Cape is only $78. If you belted it, it would look so cute and really similar to the Burberry item. These plaid numbers are perfect for keeping you toasty and comfortable when the weather turns cold, while still looking very city chic.

With the crazed rush for Tory Burch flats this summer, it's nice to see a change of direction with the season's lineup of high-heeled wedges. These Tory Burch 'Sophie' snakeskin wedges offer a similar style with rounded toes and wider fit, but plenty of leg-lengthening opportunities for those who don't have the calves to look quite so glamorous touching the floor.

Milan%20Fashion%20Week_Armani.JPG

Giorgio Armani does it again--his ever-classy designs the epitome of tailored elegance. His daywear featured neutral-toned mid-length skirts and shorts, cinched waists, cropped and wrap jackets. The eveningwear collection depicted draped chiffon and intricate beading accenting floor-length black gowns. The long awaited images debuting Roberto Cavalli's new designs for H&M have been released--and I must say, the styles look divine! And not to worry, Cavalli and crew are not pictured naked... Check out the scoop on Catwalk Queen for more info. and coverage of Cavalli's show at Milan Fashion Week.

womendesignerswwd.jpgSo it seems that women are making a comeback in the fashion industry, as they're (surprise!) more in tune with the wants and needs of female fashionistas. This trend seems to be true especially in Italy, where more women designers dominate the major fashion houses. Check out this great article by Kimberly on our sister-site Catwalk Queen.

Prada_Milan%20Fashion%20Week.JPG

Prada went for a 'dark fairytale' spring theme in Milan Fashion Week, today. Her collection began with a navy blue long cardigan, skirt and knee high socks, then quickly morphed into fairyland. Complete with flowing chiffon dresses and pants sets with black contrast piping and what looked like Japanese anime fairy print, the collection was reminiscent of the late '60s and early '70s Art Nouveau style. The fairy designs were paired with contrasting colorful plaid stockings and dark black eye makeup. Check out more pictures from the show after the jump.

1960s-inspired Mel owl cuff

OWL.jpg
My great Aunt Edna had a passion for all things owls that I always thought was so unique and fun. She would wear different owl jewelry and her house was donned with owl clocks and other owl decorations. When I saw this Mel Cuff of a 1960s-style owl, I was instantly reminded of my Aunt and fell in love with this bracelet. To add to its fabulousness, the $180 bracelet actually comes in silver, gold, rose gold and brass ($119) so that you can have several choices depending on your skin tone and outfit.

fall%20handbags.JPGThe IT bags this season have lots of stud detail and patent leather and metallic shine. Especially big are the medium-sized satchel and over-sized clutch. This Kathy Van Zeeland satchel (left) from her Bling It On II collection is designed with croco and rhinestone accents for ultimate shimmer--perfect for day or night for just $79.00. Or, get the sassy downtown look with a GUESS "Gloss" hobo bag (left-center), jam-packed with lustrous hardware and glossy imitation ostrich trim for $85.00. For a more classic look, Elliot Lucca also makes a great Status metallic woven hobo bag (right-center) for $198.00. But if you want to go all out, then I recommend this gorgeous Isabella Fiore Pump Up The Volume pewter satchel (right) for $650. Its dark silver leather, antique silver hardware, twisted top handles, and pom-pom detail make a fablously chic style statement. Go to the jump for our top over-sized clutch picks.
