Crazy Tyra asks, What is beauty to you? Exotic? Classic? She says it’s all beautiful, and has a whole new crop of model wanna-be’s to prove it. On “America’s Next Top Model,” 31 girls from Dallas, Boston, Anchorage and everywhere in between boarded a cruise ship bound for Antigua. The diverse group did a beach fashion shoot, and 13 girls got ‘shipwrecked.’
There are a few very interesting girls, including one that joked, “Let’s see who ate last–who has an eating disorder!” (Never a laughing matter, ladies!) From there, another 13 were chosen based on their reasons to be a model. I must say, having the opening show on a cruise ship (Adventure of the Seas, from Royal Carribean) posed some problems, i.e. sea-sickness, but the girls of Cycle 9 made it through. Stay tuned for next week, where the chosen 13 move into the model house. “America’s Next Top Model”, Wednesdays, the CW, 8:00pm.

Crazy Tyra is right. Her antics are enough to make me skip at least the first episode, where she’s always the worst with the “fake” bad acting last year and the horrifying song and dance routine this year. My husband had to leave the room and I think I can expect the divorce papers any day.
That dance routine Tyra did was so crazy! My boyfriend and I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry (we ended laughing as my mascara wasn’t waterproof) but it was quite entertaining, all craziness aside. I love the interaction between Tyra, Ms J and Jay.
I was aboard that ship while they filmed. What an inconvenience. They were rude and ignorant. We were not told they would be on board. We were not able to use certain areas of the ship at times while filming and still paid full price. I refuse to watch the show or anything else with Tyra Banks. Im sure they could have afforded to charter the ship themselves and not ruin others vacations!
