Yesterday marked the grand opening of H&M's newest Manhattan location at the corner of 42nd St. and 5th Avenue. Complete with a red carpet and velvet ropes around the block, the store was packed with eager shoppers. H&M's fall collection included lots of grays (it is the new black, you know...), but plenty of color too, chic cropped jackets, and tons of sparkle and shine--from scarves and hats to purses to leggings and dresses. Two-stories of fabulous fashion goodness and I couldn't resist getting in on the action. Go to the jump to see some of my essential fall picks.

The gray scoop-neck collar dress with pockets (left, $34.90) is so adorable and great for shopping or walking around town. I really like the curve-hugging sweater dress (center, $49.90)--it's the perfect fall must-have and will look super hot with black knee-high leather boots. Also get the perfect work ensemble with this black and white pin-striped high-neck sheath for $34.90. Despite being sleeveless, it's length and high neckline, make this a fall essential. Just wear a tight long-sleeve shirt under it, or pair it with a long, gray cardigan.

My two favorite pieces are this sparkly gray bubble jumper dress ($39.90) and black cropped jacket ($49.90). I just think the jumper is so adorable. I remember hating wearing them when I was little, but this is cute, but urban-chic at the same time--Mom would be proud! The cropped jacket is very big right now, and the pleated collar adds that much more style.

Jackie Wells you look so Fetch! :) Love your picks!

haha, thanks Andrea -- the sweater dress one came out kinda weird, though...
