Good news for YSL lovers! Despite rumors that Italian-born designer Stefano Pilati was considering leaving Yves Saint Laurent parent Gucci Group for another label (possibly Valentino), it has been confirmed through a new multi-year contract that he will remain as creative director. Stefano Pilati will oversee the brand and be in charge of all product categories.

Tom Ford discovered Pilati in 2000 and named him design director at YSL. And when Ford resigned in 2004, Pilati took over at YSL immediatly. Pilati joined YSL having worked at a vast number of top fashion houses including Prada, Miu Miu and Giorgio Armani, where he held senior design positions every step of the way.
