Victoria Beckham was spotted at Tokoyo airport the other day before hopping an early plane back to London when being informed that her father-in-law Ted Beckham suffered a heart attack. Victoria is always lookin' major hot, but especially here in tight jeans, a tailored jacket, cashmere scarf and her legendary platform heels. I would expect her to be traveling in a Juicy sweatsuit and Pumas! I know she's a highly photographed celeb but the my question is--is she comfortable? What if there was an emergency? Could she make it down the aisle in those shoes? The truth is, people just dont bother dressing up anymore when traveling, so when you see travelers all dolled up--it's impressive!

Long flights, potential delays and airport security sway us from suits, metal jewelry, belt buckles, tied shoes, etc. But many moons ago, when airplane travel was considered luxurious, men traveled in three piece suits and women in trousers, dress shirts and heels. THAT was the norm! I certainly understand the need to be comfortable, but instead of just rolling out of bed and onto a flight in our pajamas maybe we should compromise. So, I've put together an easy outfit: your favorite Sunday jeans, a cool pair of sneaks like these Ed Hardy Ghost Black ($54), a yummy Michael Stars tee ($40) and a cashmere sweater wrap ($194) that also doubles as a blanket. If Victoria can do it in those heels, we can certainly manage that.

Although I don't do it to Victoria's level (no high heels on the plane for me), I do "dress up" a bit when I travel because you never know when you'll meet some hot man!
