In this past week’s episode of “Gossip Girl,” Blair’s mother Eleanor needed to pick the new model for her clothing line. While the fight between Blair and Serena broke out about who got to be the face of the collection, the clothing stayed proper and polite, feminine, and very pretty. To show this kind of Upper East Side style, “Gossip Girl” producers picked a real New York based label to represent the clothing Eleanor designed. Lorick designer Abigail Lorick’s spring collection was used on “Gossip Girl” to show real Upper East style.
Lorick’s collection is made up of ready-to-wear separates and dresses, and jumpers in classic silhouettes. There are silk day dresses, sheath dresses with thin belts, crepe print skirts, and ruffled blouses. Cigarette pants can be paired with a strapless top and a delicate scarf. Saturated blues and reds meet bright pop of yellow and colorful prints. Lorick’s designs are all inspired by her Amelia Island, Florida upbringing, and are made for a polite Southern girl going off to Sunday brunch.
Loricknewyork.com announces that the Lorick Lady “is being introduced to society” this spring season.
