SoHo is getting filled to the brim with new designer stores opening each month. On December 8th, renowned British designer Karen Millen will be opening an American flagship store in Manhattan’s premiere designer district, at 112-114 Prince Street. The official launch party will be in March for the debut of Millen’s new spring collection on March 12th. The 2,800-square-foot space has an open, airy feel with wood floors, matte-finished glass and original accents of the building from the when it used to be the Mimi Fertz gallery.

According to Sanjay Sharma, the company’s international director, they’re expecting Millen’s cocktail dresses, trenchcoats and handbags to be a hit this season. The designer’s collection also includes daywear, denim, intimates, and accessories, retailing around $210 for tailored pants to $600 for an oversize leather handbag. Over the next three years, the retailer plans on opening 50 to 75 more stores across the U.S. and new locations in China and Russia, as well.
