Almost a month ago the lovely Laura over at The Bag Lady reported that Lydia Hearst had designed a bag for sportswear label PUMA.
Yesterday her second line of handbags were launched at PUMA’s Union Square store in Manhattan. The bag is based on PUMA’s terry cloth racket grip bag from its French 77 collection and features this season’s patent trend and a fun, modern silhouette.
This collaboration is a more affordable range with the bags selling for just $125. “It’s much easier to create a high-end bag than a mass market bag that everyone can afford,” said Hearst. “But by looking at the bag, you wouldn’t know it’s mass market. I wanted to make sure anyone and everybody can enjoy my designs.” The bag will be available from 30th November at puma.com. More images below the cut…
