No, this outfit isn’t for me. It’s for Andrea Osiek who needs a fabulous outfit for a big New Year’s Eve party. We’ll get over our jealousy that her husband takes ballroom dancing lessons with her, because she needs a low-rent get up because of medical expense (hope everything goes well!). She really doesn’t want to spend very much and wants to use pieces from her existing wardrobe, so we tried to keep some part of the ensemble basic and let others speak louder. We started with a little black dress which Andrea probably already has in her closet. If not, this one is from Isaac Mizrahi for Target and is on sale for $29.99. For the rest of the outfit, keep reading.

We decided to let some gold pieces add a little pizazz, not least of all because there’s a good chance you already have a gold clutch or gold bangles to work with. The handbag and bracelets are both from Forever 21. The metallic clutch is $10.80 and the assorted bangles are only $4.80. Everyone can swing that!

The Glaze by Adi patent double-strap Mary-Jane pumps are designer-inspired and simple enough that you can probably find the shape pretty easily. But you probably won’t find them for less than $26.99, like this pair.

And what we’ve relied on as the most dramatic piece of the outfit, especially if you wear your hair up, are these $13.59 double gypsy chandelier earrings.

So basically this outfit is full of pieces you can pull together from your own wardrobe. If you have dramatic dangly earrings, go out and get some patent mary-janes. We kept all the prices super low so you could possibly even buy them all to refresh your little black dress and to make sure you could at least afford one or two.

Absolutely beautiful! A LBD would be perfect for our event and the gold accents are just enough to glam it up for our dance without going overboard. I adore the shoes… and the straps will be perfect for keeping them on my feet while we dance the night away! Best part… I do have a lot of these items at home and can easily afford those that I don’t.

    Thanks for the advice!!!
