New York Fashion Week: Erin Fetherston

If you didn't know Erin Fetherston (above centre) before 2007, you probably do now after her recent Target 'Go International' collection. The designer is known for her pretty, feminine and youthful clothes, and this collection - observed from the front row by Anne Hathaway - stuck to the tried-and-tested formula she's had so much success with so far, adding a touch of darkness with a muted, autumnal palette. Not so much a collection for hard-edged fashionistas as something for the young and stylish to aspire to, the bold and beautiful floral dresses, trademark mini dresses and mixed textures gave girly looks a wintery twist.

There were also beautiful 60s inspired coat, innocent little lacy babydolls and flowers everywhere - in the hair, in prints and stitched onto one-shouldered micro-prom dresses. To finish the look, Fetherston girls need opaque tights, little flat shoes and centre partings. Coming to a Zooey Deschanel near you soon...
