Banana Republic goes green with eco-friendly collection

It may be a little late for St. Patrick's Day, but Banana Republic is no April fool. The retailer surely knows the benefits of going green - for their sales figures and the environment - as they're launching a 50-piece eco-friendly collection this April.
The Banana Republic Green Collection, launching April 8, includes a new label and packaging system and is produced in eco-conscious fabrics.
"We love how this collection is both green and chic," the company said in a statement. "It was essential that each piece look and feel amazing and covetable. The fact it has been designed with environmental sustainability in mind is just another advantage for our customer."
The retailer used bamboo, organic cotton and linen, soy/silk blends and other renewable and sustainable raw materials to create the clothes, which with include the trench above, mens' T-shirts, an embroidered top, a tiered dress and a crinkle scarf wrap.
