Botkier the latest to collaborate with Target

The latest news to come out of the super secret Target designer lab is that of a handbag line by Botkier.

The limited edition handbag collection will be called Botkier for Target and is the fifth handbag collection to be released.

Designer Monica Botkier launched her handbag label five years ago when she couldn't find a design that suited her. Her brand now sells in some of the biggest department stores in the world, including Barneys New York, Saks Fifth Avenue and Harvey Nichols.

For the first time Botkier's latest spring '08 collection (pictured left) has branched out into shoes, belts and other small leather goods which we reported on here.

While details are yet to be confirmed, it is believed the range will hit Target stores on July 21 and stick around until September 14 - just in time for back to school shopping.

This news comes after last week's announcement that Richard Chai will be the next designer for the Target Go International line.
