Chris Benz is known for his colorful designs, and this is the perfect season to indulge.

“I just try to use colors that feel right to me,” Benz told Shopbop. “Color is one of the best parts about design for me!”

As for his muse, Benz says that he is always inspired by “the kind of girls and women I think are chic,” he said. “It’s usually the girls who are having the most fun.”

He says he’d love to see his designs on women like Vanessa Paradis and Shalom Harlow. “Ageless women that are a big haphazard with their style, a big sloppy, but always beautifully carefree.”
