Last week we talked about a few body shapers out there from comfortable, slimming slips to major control Spanx.

This week we’re concentrating on whole body slimmers that claim to take off the inches. First up is the Wolford Forming Dress, $195, available at Saks Fifth Avenue stores. Funny how the model wearing this piece at left not only doesn’t look like she needs slimming, but is also contorted in such a way to make her waist seem as small as possible.

If you can’t walk around sexy-leaning on walls all day, this still might be a good choice. It has bust support, convertable straps, and is one of the better-looking shapewear dresses out there.

Makers of the Miraclesuit body briefer, less than half the price at $57, say you’ll look 10 pounds lighter with this under your outfit. This will likely help you fit into those skinny jeans, and also creates a smooth line under dresses. One drawback is the bra – smaller chested girls won’t like that it has no padding, while larger-chested girls or those looking for more uplift won’t like the lack of underwire.

For a slim look under fitted knits and/or to reduce bra bulging, you might like the Spanx strapless lace camisol, $52. If you’re looking for upper body slimming, you might be much happier in this strapless shaping top, since it won’t constrict your lower body.
