American Idol Gives Back with the help of Geri Halliwell, Paula Abdul and Carrie Underwood

American Idol taped their Idol Gives Back episode on April 6, with stars like Geri Halliwell, Paula Abdul and Carrie Underwood supporting the cause. Well, okay, Paula had to be there! The episode will air April 9.

Geri Halliwell looks really great in a slate bandage dress with white pumps. She might be the most fashion-forward of the bunch.

Paula's body definitely looks sick in her formfitting red cocktail number, but somehow even this sexy dress looks a little matronly on her. It's a shame because we dislike when she dresses too young and hoochy for her age, but when she dresses appropriately there's still something ... off. Maybe it's the hair.

Carrie Underwood loves her some bright gold formalwear. We've seen her on several red carpet in yellow, gold, and orangy dresses. She actually seemed a bit overdressed, especially compared to Miley Cyrus who showed up in jeans, but we always prefer overdressed to under.
