We’re big offenders of loving the glossy fashion mags despite all the trees they waste and all the terrific content online. But the eco-chicks chastise us, and now we’ve found a great outlet for our magazine lust that doesn’t require a subscription.

VivaTerra, a great online store for a whole variety of environmentally and ethically responsible products has launched an online magazine ecosalon. With fashion, decor, wellness, artisan and lifestyle sections there’s plenty to read and discover.

Like these Sharkah Chakra jeans, made from fairtrade organic cotton from West Africa and all-natural materials. They’re not cheap and they don’t look it with a luxurious texture and intricate details.

“We aim to care for all the artisans involved in making our denims; the Fair Trade cotton farmers, the indigo farmers, the indigo dyeing craftsmen, the hand loom weavers, the tailors and the laundry masters. Creating a circle where everybody benefits from the work that we do,” the company says.

Aww, thanks for the nice nod! We love those glossies, too – just remember to recycle, or subscribe with a digital service like Zinio. ;)
