The Gilt Groupe is donating 10% of all proceeds from the EDUN sale to WCS, the Wildlife Conservation Society. Edun and WCS established the Conservation Cotton Initiative (CCI), which promotes the development of eco-friendly sustainable cotton farming in Africa (leading to economic development and streamlined resource management).
On Wednesday Surevolution, who’s jewelry is shown at left, will be featured. This jewelry-line discovered by Donna Karan, supports indigenous artisans including those in Colombia, Bolivia and India. The pieces are crafted from real leaves found in the Andean forest in Colombia and hand-dipped in precious metals.
