Leighton Meester and Tinsley Mortimer at New Yorkers For Children benefit
Socialites fictional and fact-based turned out for the New Yorker's For Children New Year's in April event in New York last night.
Leighton Meester's character Blair on Gossip Girl would certainly be honored to share the red carpet with such a high-caliber real-life socialite as Tinsley Mortimer, but would she wear have worn such a flowing frock?
Meester tends to go back and forth between channelling her TV alter ego and trying to forge her own style, but the result has been a sort of mixed bag.
Tinsley on the other hand sticks to her signature look with ringlets, but goes a bit sexy for evening in a slinky formfitting gown.

I like the dress and if I had pins like hers, I'd wear it, too, but it's probably not preppy enough for Blair's style (and I don't mean preppy in a bad way!).
