Sir Philip Green spills the beans on Topshop US

Can you feel the excitement for Topshop US building? We can! Last week we told you when the launch date was for the new Broadway store - 10th October - that's a diary date folks! Now Topshop boss, Sir Philip Green has revealed more about what we can expect from his first US store. "It's got to be English -- we're not going to give it an American twist," he said during a viewing of Topshop's new fall collection in London.
In fact, he is so keen to keep things English that he is even flying some of his UK staff over to New York to help run his store for the first few weeks. It is also rumoured that he is thinking of organising a fleet of red double decker buses to line the streets of New York in celebration of the launch.
What next? Tea and crumpets served to customers as refreshments while they shop? Actually that's not a bad idea!
Green also said that he is looking at the possibly of opening "a couple more stores" in Manhattan, alongside the new flagship at 478 Broadway in SoHo.
"We don't want to be on every street corner," he added.
Ah... I don't see any problem with that, do you?
