We don’t usually feature people for Yay or Nay here at ShinyStyle, it seems mean. But our love for Parker Posey is such that we hope it evens out any ill-will toward this outfit. You know, in terms of fashion karma.
This is what Posey chose for the afterparty of the New York premiere of “Smart People.” It may be Prada or some very respectable designer, but it’s just plain and simple a day dress. Besides which, it looks too loose and sloppy on Posey.
On closer inspection it kind of looks like she had a really long, busy day and didn’t have time to change before the party and we’re starting to feel bad about picking on her again… Especially since her most recent TV show, an Amy Sherman-Palladino vehicile called “The Return of Jezebel James,” was just cancelled after a few episodes.

Yay, although I think it needs pumps or flats, not knee boots, to really tie the look together. She’s always sort of kooky and if she were holding herself with more confidence and oomph there, I think the outfit would be almost completely saved.
