Country stars go for gold – footwear, that is

Gold shoes kind of clash with the “orange carpet” at the Academy of Country Music Awards, but they’re still really cute.

Miranda Lambert, left, paired hers with a short printed dress. It might be a little matchy-matchy to pair gold shoes with a print with so much of the color in it, but that’s a very southern convension. We love the platform and criss-cross straps anyway.

Maureen McCormick opted for a lower heel but a similar metallic gold hue. The shoes, which look to have a bit of a lame-look finish, offset her deep purple gown well.

The second pair of gold shoes is from Nine West, I think! (or it could be that Nine West copied a more expensive brand…but they’re sold out in gold, I think they only have them on sale in orange)
