Gwyneth Paltrow drives sales of sky-high heels

It looks like women just didn't realize sky-high heels existed before Gwyneth Paltrow waltzed onto the scene promoting Iron Man in a slew of stilettos.
Sales of super high heels (generally anything five inches and over) have increased 35 percent since Paltrow's press tour.
U.K. retailers like Selfridges and Harvey Nichols are seeing sales of stilettos outnumbering flats five to one.
Gwyneth's promotional trail has seen her sport six, seven, and even eight inch heels crafted by Pacchini and the resulting craze has been dubbed "the Gwyneth Effect."
We reported on Gwynnie's 5" Alexander McQueens at the U.K. premiere, and Catwalk Queen showed a parade of shoes from April as well.
She kicked off her well-heeled whirlwind on April 21 in Paris in a pair of seven inch black and brown platform shoe boots by Pacchini which required her to lean on a handler to walk down some steps.
