Are you ready New York? Topshop is a 'comin....

New York is about to be injected with a good ole' dose of British retailing when the first Topshop US store opens on October 10th. Rolling out the first phase of his new 'baby' is Sir Philip Green, who arrived in Manhattan this week to begin publicity, and to scout out new sites. A design of the flagship store, located at 478 Broadway (pictured above) has also been unveiled. This coupled with a preview of Topshop's and Topman's fall collections, held at Industria Studios today, will help to officially kick things off.

So what do we know about the new Topshop US? Well, for a starters we know that Green is adamant about keeping things quintessentially English; a carbon copy of the original.
"This is going to be Topshop in all its glory, identical. It's not going to be Americanized. It will be London transferred to New York," he said.
This transference will include a 40,000-square-foot flagship store, split into four levels, a sparkly futuristic store design boasting a DJ booth, a shoe lounge, a stable of changing rooms, and a VIP suite for those A-list customers. Retail services will comprise of personal shoppers ('stylists' for women and 'style advisors' for men), the Topshop to Go home shopping service, and Express delivery.

Another identical factor which will copy over to the US store is no price promotions. This rules out the possibility of Topshop US becoming a mall chain: "There is no way we are going that route," Green added.
I suppose this means a shopping trip to New York for many of us fashion enthusiasts.
In terms of the stock, what's on the cards for fall is quite exciting. Punk and plaid are coming our way, as well as romantic day dresses, night owl cocktail numbers, and a dash of British tailoring in schoolboy blazers - how our little Gossip Girl-crazed hearts will sing! Of course, who can forget Kate Moss's collections which are a continuation of her London street style that we can hardly wait to try on ourselves.

I love Topshop they are the most popular shop in the UK, it has better style a bit of a vintage feel, lots of colour and their stores are GREAT. when I went to America a few years ago I found a lot of the clothes shops bland and boring you lot are going to love (and need) TOPSHOP!!!!
