Preview the CW's 'Stylista' and spot the Devil Wears Prada mimicks
Could the CW have choreographed "Stylista" to be a any more like "The Devil Wears Prada?" Why Anne Slowey, Elle's fashion news director, would agree to be portrayed as the evil editrix we go from loving to hate to just plan pitying and reviling is questionable, but I guess it's just TV and hopefully not real.
The show is full of mean girls and fashion snobs, which will be sure to entertain. And we're already pulling for the chubby girl the package is designed to lead you to root for - with the pointed comments from other contestants and surprise compliments from Slowey.

No way. Slowey is a friend of a friend of mine and I just cannot fathom why she would allow herself to be portrayed like this. Talk about striking a blow against all intelligent women writers of a certain age everywhere!

Now an entire generation of teenage girls is going to think The Devil Wears Prada is true to life and the best way to get a job on a magazine is to go on a ridiculous reality show. Joy of joys.
I reckon we should do a YouTube version based at Shiny Towers. I'll tell they they're too fat all the time while eating great slabs of chocolate.
