We’re off today, but wanted to leave you with some fashionable fun for the Fourth!

Fashion designs by Naeem Khan, Oscar de la Renta, Lisa Perry, Isaac Mizrahi, Peter Som for Bill Blass, Chado Ralph Rucci, and Donna Karan are integrated with pictures from “A Grand Old Flag” by Kevin Keim and Peter Keim.

“We’re seeing some classic red, white and blue, and navy/whites for Resort markets,” Bergdorf’s Linda Fargo told Fashion Week Daily. “The ‘star’ as a graphic feels right too–both Chanel and YSL played with it within the last year. Stella McCartney played with American 1940′s style cherries as shoe ornamentation at her charming picnic presentation a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps it’s because it’s an election year, combined with an upcoming July 4th, as well as the cylce of fashion–which periodically dips back into this classic American color combination.”
