She may have turned into quite the glamourpuss on the red carpet, but Anne Hathaway prefers jeans and T-shirt just like the next girl.

“The more I get to play characters that are glamorous, the less pressure I feel to do it in my own life,” she says. “When you never get dressed up, sometimes you think: ‘Oh, I really should pull it together.’ When it’s your job to look like that, you think: ‘I’ll just wear jeans and the most awesome rock-star T-shirt I can find.’ If anything, it’s liberated my inner couch potato.”

It probably helps to have Rachel Zoe scouring the globe for the most awesome rock-star T-shirts and of-the-minute jeans, but we’ll cut Hathaway some slack.

Of her wardrobe for “Get Smart” she says “There are lots of form-fitting dresses with truly beautiful lines. There’s more of a focus on ankles, calves and collarbones as opposed to cleavage, butts and things like that. I had really nice clothes – Oscar de la Renta, Chanel.”

The dresses she wore to promote the movie weren’t too shabby either.
