No longer must you walk all the way to your computer in order to see the latest styles appearing on the runway.

How else can your phone inform your fashion? Keep reading.

The Style.com app features photos and videos from the recent couture shows will be updated with the spring 09 shows starting Sept. 5. Morning shows will be available by afternoon and evening shows the next morning – about the same as on Style.com’s Web site. (ShinyStyle is often quicker … just saying.) Coverage from all the fashion capitals will follow.

The welcome screen on early beta versions listed two menus with new shows and blog items. Select a collection and the looks appear much like on Style.com’s Web site, tap a look and the photo is enlarged. Tap again for the model’s name and a brief review of the show.

This follows Chanel’s Iphone application and the Ralph Lauren mobile store.
