Via Catwalk Queen…
Nicole Farhi was one of the first London designers to continue on the trend of painterly florals we saw emerge at New York Fashion Week, and she does it just beautifully. Hemlines were longer, below the knee, and shapes were a bit of a throwback to the earlier decates of the last century. But the prints and some tweaking of the silhouette kept things modern and chic.

There was a definite British seaside look going, without the preppiness of more American nautical style. A little more laid-back, less put-together and it looked just lovely.
From Catwalk Queen:
Returning to London with her Spring 2009 collection, Alice Temperley continued the maturing trend she started in fall 08 for her line, Temperley London.
These looks were her most grown up to date. Unfortunately, the Temperley girl seems to have grown up to have a multiple personality disorder: grecian dresses, menswear-inspired outfits and ruffled-out pieces all shared the same catwalk in a rather disjointed display.

The strongest pieces were the ones, like those below, that kept it simple and let the silhouettes shine in beautiful colors with minimal but powerful accents.
