With a few more Milan shows and Paris still to go, there’s only a bit more time to dream of spring 2009 before fall 2008 hits us hard! So I’ve compiled a list of my favorites from the runways we’ve seen so far. It’s New York heavy since these pieces have been rolling around in my head all month long. I’m not sure if all these items all fit into one wardrobe or not, or if this list just reveals how fashion-schizo I really am. Whatever the case, this is my spring 2009 wish list!
Clockwise from top left.
Tuleh zebra-print pumps – As you can see, black and white play a big part in my wardrobe. Okay, mostly black. But these pumps would be just the daring dash of something special I need to take a LBD to the next level. Having seen these babies in person backstage, I’ve been lusting ever since. Black flippy skirt from DKNY – Again with the black, I can’t get enough black skirts. All lengths, colors and silhouettes are welcome. But a particular favorite of mine from the Proenza Schouler for Target line has seen better days so I’m looking to find a new wear-everywhere item. This could be it. Check out DKNY spring 2009 here.
Matthew Williamson dress – When I bust out the colors, I really bust em out with bold prints and lots of girlie pinks and purples. And dresses are my preferred pieces for print since there’s hardly any matching to be done. This looks like it will cinch the smallest part of my waist and show off my curves to full advantage. Burberry Prorsum jeweled trench – I decided to show some love for both Milan and London. This British brand’s Milan show had be drooooling. Must have! Probably never will. Check out Burberry Prorsum Spring 2009 here.
Luella cross-strap bag - I loved the accessories at Luella even if I would probably never wear any of the clothes. This adorable little bag would punch up the colorwheel of my closet. Check out Luella Spring 2009 here.
William Rast sweater – I’m not a Justin Timberlake fan, but I am a fan of studs on anything and everything. Putting them on a white cardigan seemed like something new that I should be a part of! Check out Willam Rast spring 2009 here.
Diane Von Furstenberg tunic dress – Would it be wrong to wear this dress as a beach cover up? My coverups for the past two seasons have been ethnic, brightly colored tunics picked up in the Bahamas and as they start to wear I’ve realized they really don’t fit my style very well. So a return to my perennial black and white might be in order. Check out Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2009 here.
