You get some of your greatest shopping ideas from your friends, right? Me too! So for the next few items in our gift guide I've kind of copied off of my friend Jill's Christmas list (maybe I should let her husband know!).
The Frye Harness boots, $198, aren't going anywhere. They've become one of the modern classics of affordable boot styles that you know will stay en vogue for years to come. A little bit cowboy boot, a little bit motorcycle boot, this style takes cues from both of those but makes them cleaner and straighter.

The Charmed Life Dress from Anthropologie, $168, will fit easily into almost any girl's closet. The easy pullover dress features a forgiving silhouette and a neckline to frame her face.

There are a lot of sweaters on our list because as I've said, I think they make the perfect presents. But this is our comfy-cosiest sweater yet. The Free People Snow Drift Cowl Neck sweater, $108, will be one she'll want to run and put on right away. Another loose fit allows some leeway in guessing her size and you can choose black, gray or ivory to suit her style best.

Have you ever noticed that your girlfriends give you your favorite jewelry you'd never have picked out yourself? Sometimes it's too hard to choose your own statement, so it's nice to let someone else interpret it for you. This Long Ago Necklace, $138, will let her express herself with fun floral shapes in gems and freshwater pearls.
The Mayle Fleur d'Elle Belt, on sale for $175, is a great gift because so many people are reticent to buy themselves "statement belts." Far from plain with strap, buckle, and button detail throughout, the piece also isn't so detailed that it's out there or specific to one type of style.
