Before we get into details of Target’s next Go International designer collaboration with surfer chic Tracy Feith, first things first.

The retailer has released images of its Spring 09 GO International Collection (one of the GO lines with no designer attached) which will hit stores February 1.

As usual the collection is very colorful, and offers lots of separates and dresses like the Bustier Dress in watermelon at right, $44.99. Target cites rock ‘n’ roll and sporty inspirations for this collection which will sell for $16.99 to $49.99.

First, the Feith. The designer will be bringing his surfer styles to Target May 17 through June 27 with about 60 pieces and 15 original prints sure to suppliment your summer beach wardrobe to a T.

Pieces will include shorts, swimsuits, tops, jackets, pants and dresses at prices from $14.99 to $44.99. Though there will be at least one higher-priced item, a $139.99 cropped leather jacket lined with a signature Feith print.

“There are easy flowing pieces and more fitted numbers,” he said. “There are items for the beach and the office. The clothes will be equally at home in the city as the country.” Feith cited a cotton maxi floral printed dress as one of his favorites.

Sounds like a broad collection that will capitalize on the popularity of california cool, beachy style in the summer. We’re most anxious to see the prints, which will be in colors of lollypop red, Persian turquoise, seafoam green, neon orange and pink, and Saturn lime (whatever that is). We’re kind of hoping for a retro, Gidget vibe.
