Creating a worldwide fashion frenzy since she stepped onto Air Force One yesterday afternoon, First Lady Michelle Obama has admiring fashionistas still in a tizz on Day One of her first official visit to Europe, as she and her Presidential hubby Barack rocked up earlier today to knock on the door of 10 Downing Street.
While she favoured up-and-coming US designers Thakoon and Jason Wu for her departure and arrival outfits, she donned high street favourite J.Crew for her meeting with UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown and his wife, Sarah.
The embellished ivory cardigan and textured mint green skirt was finished off with a double strand of pearls and was perfect for the sunny, spring weather in London this morning. It has to be said too, it was a particularly good choice given the protest situation in London today - anything too flashy could have come off as highly inappropriate.
