Sneak peek: Heidi and Spencer’s wedding – Watch the video!

By Kimberley Foster on May 29th, 2009

As I mentioned yesterday, rat-face Spencer Pratt has admitted to lying to Lauren Conrad in order to get her to come to his wedding to Heidi Montag. Nevertheless, as we all know L.C. did attend the wedding, filmed (and likely paid for) by MTV for Sunday’s episode of The Hills. Here is a sneak peek of what went on inside the church for the couple’s big day. My favourite part has to be the appalled look on L.C.’s face when her old rival and new replacement Kirsten Cavallari unexpectedly shows up. I honestly couldn’t have scripted it better myself. Click play on video above to watch.

Lifetime promises no changes made to ‘Project Runway’

By Kimberley Foster on May 29th, 2009

projectrunway_seasonsixpromo.jpg
Execs at Lifetime have responded to the concerns of many Project Runway fans by making few changes to the reality show from its original home at Bravo. After nine months of legal battles and other setbacks, the first images of season six have hit the web, showing the same set, logo, panel, etc. The only difference seems to be the location, it is shot in L.A. instead of New York.

”I was shocked. It was déjà vu. I was looking forward to different scenery, and everything was the same!” Heidi Klum said, after hoping that a new network would equal a show overhaul. I guess for some fans the familiarity will be comforting, but for others perhaps a little stale?

Project Runway cycle six is due to premiere on Lifetime August 20.

Jesus Luz spills the beans on Madonna: “She is nothing but a friend”

By Kimberley Foster on May 27th, 2009

jesusluz_madonna_interviewjustfriends.jpgMadonna might seem smitten with her so-called beau, Jesus Luz (check out their steamy photo-shoot for W for evidence). But according to the man himself, they are “just friends.”

The 23-year-old model sat down with Brazilian TV show Fantástico, to open up about his relationship with the Queen of Pop for the first time. When asked outright if the pair plan to wed, he replied: “She is someone I truly admire, a friend who is in my life, who I have worked with, and who I keep in touch with. I can’t say anything else besides that. She is a friend, and nothing but a friend.”

“We were introduced by photographer Steven Klein. I thought she was a wonderful person, full of positive energy,” he added.

Check out a video of the interview after the cut (note: it’s in Brazilian)…

By Kimberley Foster on May 26th, 2009

oliviapalermo_ellemagazine_thecity.jpg

Elle magazine has picked itself up and dusted itself off after Stylista was cancelled on the CW network. Instead, it will feature in MTV’s The City, after the show’s resident ice queen, Olivia Palermo, scored a job in the publicity department of the magazine. Sources say that shooting of season two is already under way, with cameras entering the Elle offices this week. I wonder, will this television venture will be more successful?

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady rumored to be pregnant

By Kimberley Foster on May 25th, 2009

giselebundchen_tombrady_expecting.jpgFrom Catwalk Queen: Whispers are doing the rounds that Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady are expecting their first child together.

The rumors began when the couple were spotted leaving an obstetrician’s office in Manhattan earlier this month (pictured left). Now RadarOnline.com is reporting that Gisele is in fact pregnant, after confiding in friends.

Gisele and Tom were married in Santa Monica in February, this was followed up by a second ceremony in Costa Rica last month.

If true, the child will be the model’s first and Brady’s second. The quarterback star already has a one-year-old son, John Edward Thomas Moynahan, from his last relationship with Bridget Moynahan.

Would you wear American Apparel’s bottomless tights? (NSFW)

By Kimberley Foster on May 25th, 2009

americanapparel_bottomlesstights.jpg

Good Lord! What have the broad-minded folks over at American Apparel come up with now? These bottomless tights (or “assless tights” as some are calling them) are just one of the new styles to look out for from the retailer. They are specially designed without a back allowing you to show off your booty, as I’m sure many women would prefer *ahem*. They are still in production, and not available to buy just yet. However, it just begs one question – after Woody Allen sued them and won, are AA so hard up for cash now they can’t even afford whole hosiery?

Would you wear these tights? Vote in our poll after the jump and see them in all their glory (NSFW, naturally)…

Watch snippets from Mischa Barton’s ‘The Beautiful Life’ and new ‘Melrose Place’

By Kimberley Foster on May 22nd, 2009

The CW network has released its fall television schedule, and it’s looking good. Not only am I embarrassingly excited to see Vampire Diaries (I blame Twilight), I’m also quite keen to check out Mischa Barton’s latest show, The Beautiful Life. Centred around the lives of a bunch of models living in New York, it also stars Elle Macpherson and is produced by Ashton Kutcher. Check out a preview of the show above, which also features Zac Posen playing himself.

ALSO, see a sneak peek of the new Melrose Place remake, starring Ashlee Simpson, after the jump…

Interview exclusive: Rachel Zoe speaks to our own TV Scoop

By Kimberley Foster on May 21st, 2009

rachelzoe_tvscoopinterview.jpgOur friends over at Shiny Media’s sensational television blog, TV Scoop, snagged an exclusive interview with Rachel Zoe. Naturally we were not only tres excited but also very jealous.

The much-talked-about stylist discusses her love of vintage, her personal style icons, and of course her reasons behind launching her fly-on-the-wall series, The Rachel Zoe Project, which currently screens on Really (Sky and Virgin Media). She is also apparently a very big fan of British fashion:

“The style in the UK is a huge, huge inspiration for me. I love… even walking along the streets of London, I’m like, aaaurgh [makes sighing noise]. You just get that great aristocratic style that I love so much. Like that classic English… Savile Row and all that. And… I love the whole Portobello/Notting Hill vibe too.”

Tyra Banks blames poor economy on firing Paulina Porizkova from ‘America’s Next Top Model’

By Kimberley Foster on May 20th, 2009

tyrabanks_paulinaporizkova_fired.jpgHas Paulina Porizkova become just another victim of the global economic crisis? That is what Tyra Banks is citing after the Czech model was fired as judge on America’s Next Top Model. The only problem is that Paulina doesn’t quite see it that way.

She revealed on the Late Late Show that she was fired because it was suggested that she had a big ego. She then insinuated on Access Hollywood that behind-the-scenes Tyra is a diva, who was consistently late to set and only spoke to her in front of the cameras. Now, Tyra has responded to the claims by releasing the following statement:

“The current state of the economy has forced shows to make major budget cuts industry wide. America’s Next Top Model is not immune to these financially challenging times. We’ve had to make significant cuts in every area of the production and, unfortunately, Paulina was a casualty of these cuts.”

Marios Schwab takes over as creative director at Halston

By Kimberley Foster on May 20th, 2009

mariosschwab_confirmedhalston.jpgBlogged by Catwalk Queen

It is official! After months of swirling rumours, our own Marios Schwab has landed the gig of creative director at Halston. He replaces Marco Zanini, who left after just two seasons.

Confirmed via WWD early this morning, he will take over the label from July 1. Despite its recent troubles following its revival in 2007, the brand will also shortly launch the Halston Heritage collection, featuring reproductions of archival Halston pieces (see below the cut).

Schwab caught the eye of CEO Bonnie Takhar during his spring ’09 show in London. “He used a lot of jersey in the collection in a very modern way. The silhouettes were also very fluid, and we thought they had a very modern Halston interpretation,” she said.

Read an excerpt from Lauren Conrad’s novel

By Kimberley Foster on May 19th, 2009

laurenconrad_novelexcerpt.jpgLook out world! It seems Lauren Conrad wasn’t kidding when she said she was “writing” a novel.

Teen Vogue got their mitts on two pages of the young adult novel titled, L.A. Candy, due out June 16. What’s it about? I hear you ask. Well, it’s about a girl named Jane who moves to Hollywood and lands her own reality show (sounding familiar yet?). Jane soon finds the pressures and pains of being the star of her own somewhat rehearsed reality show a drag.

In other words, it’s bound to mirror LC’s own life and the reasons behind why she has decided to leave The Hills. Click here to read an excerpt.
