Swarvoski brings out another two collections

elvis ins.jpg
Swarovski is turning out its new collection by the glittery dozen this year, hence why I have been talking about it so much.

Now it has launched two more collections (I think someone might have to hide my bank card now).

The first collection to grab me today is this gorgeous range of rings with crystals (well we wouldn't expect anything else). You can pick a ring with as little or as many crystals are you want. We love the Harlequin ring, which has just one big crystal as its main focus and the Flirt ring has a singular crystal surrounded by individual crystals.

If this wasn't enough, its second collection gives even more choice. The Nature Reloaded collection, which gives a funky edge to the Swarvoski range by introducing little characters, is an update to the company's previous range (I know this because I've lusting after everything in this collection since last year).

For those that know the collection as well as I do Erika is a little fairy, Elvis, always more gloomy, takes the shape of an insect. If we've confused you, have a look at the picture above.

Rihanna graces the cover of fashion magazine

Rihanna Vogue.jpgI've always liked Rihanna's dress sense, it's fun, sometimes kooky, and sometimes just downright sexy.

But I think you'll all agree that she looks absolutely amazing here.

The popstar, who has had her fair share of trouble in the past few months, has been pictured for the cover of Italian Vogue's Couture supplement wearing this fantastic Valentino dress.

Now we know 80s fashion is back but the sleeves on this dress take us slap bang back into the very era, I think they would hurt if I got to close.

And does anyone else agree that the bucket is just a little bit wrong? I hope the person standing to the side of her was holding an Umbrella.

Size zero. The debate

Comments (1)

zeromodel.jpgWe've stayed away from the size zero debate so far now, but with London Fashion week (LFW) fast approaching we thought we'd bring out the classic debate of whether size zero models should be allowed on the catwalk.

This summer the British Fashion Council which organises LFW, has said that models should have to obtain a doctor's certificate to prove their healthiness. The aim was to discourage eating disorders but other fashion capitals failed to follow London's lead. As a result the British Fashion Council consequently abandoned its crusade. Hmmm not very good is it?

And the debate has even been picked up by celebrities. Earlier this month, model Caprice hit out at size zero models: 'It's horrible. I think the media should not even pay attention to these women,' she told Now magazine.

'It's disgusting. I think it's unwomanly and I think it's unfeminine.'

Now Caprice is hardly what you would call curvy, but she's not a twiglet either is she?

So we want to hear from you should size zero models be allowed on the catwalk? Vote now.

Thumbnail image for Caviar box.JPGSummer's always hard on my skin. I sit out in the sun for too long, dry my skin out with chlorine and smoke far too much in the summer evening beer gardens.

I know my skin hates me for it but I've come across something that may make it forgive me a little bit and prevent it from dishing out another wrinkle, as punishment.

The Caviar cream is a favourite with A-list stars celebs such as Kate Moss, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston.

It's a multifunctional anti-aging cream, which is said to nourish and energise skin and hopefully keep the wrinkles at bay.

At £59, it's not cheap but if it's good enough for the celebs then I may splash out and watch as it performs its miracle worthy of an A list oscar.

Trainers that help you burn calories

sce.jpgWhile we're on the topic of trainers, we thought we'd tell you about these new designs by Skechers.

Now we're not overly keen about advocating something that encourages you to buy it because of claims it helps you lose weight but we thought we'd give these a mention.

The company has launched a range of fitness footwear called Skechers Shape Ups. The shoes have a dynamic rocking bottom, soft foam insole and dual-density midsole with a kinetic wedge running the length of the shoe.

This is said to create a soft but uneven surface which engages the muscles in the legs and help you burn calories when you walk.

According to Sketchers, a study of 8 women using these shoes for six weeks showed an overall weight loss of 3.25 pounds, not too bad, but for the £89 cost we think we'd rather sign up to the gym.

Jinga Originals Gunmetal Pink Trainer.JPGWith the winter fast approaching it will soon be time to pack away our Haviana's and get out feet into footwear that will hopefully save our toes from frost bite.

Yes we know, it's depressing, but if you're not quite yet ready to part with your summer style, then we have found something that may ease the transition.

Jinga trainers are the latest Brazilian footwear to walk onto our shores and are perfect for us Haviana wearing girls who love a bit of retro Brazilian.

Now we know what you're thinking, trainers are hardly a big fashion statement, but let's be honest we all need a nice funky pair and these trainers not only look stylish but also come in a range of colours, from white to pink and grey.

Oh, and they won't feel that much different from your flip flops either. Why? Because the company claims that these trainers give you the feeling of being barefoot because of the slim sole.

What's more, all Jinga's are ethically made and certified by the Vegan Society making them light on your feet and your conscience.
They cost £39.

Full circle.JPGI'm not sure about you, but I think Angelina's looking amazing at the moment, and if it wasn't for my major crush on Brad, then I'd say he should stick with her, but well, all's fair in love and war and all that.

So imagine my delight when I got a look at Full Circle's new Autumn/Winter range, which features a dress, not so different from the one from the Michael Kors dress Angelina wore to accompany Mr Pitt to the Inglorious Basterds premier. Oh and it's also quite similar to the one his ex Jennifer wore on the front cover of Vogue.

Now we said similar, not the same, as this stunning dress has sleeves as opposed to the strapless look both women went for.

However, the material and straight cut style are a pretty close match.

As well as the Brad stealing dress the company has also teamed up with accessory Lou Dalton.

The designer, who previously worked with Tommy Hilfiger and Ted Baker has created a range of bags in moc croc, faux fur patchwork and leathers to bring a retro, vintage fashion feel to the collection.

Now I'm not sure about you, but I'm buying that dress quickly and heading, to LA.

While I'm on a designer roll it would be wrong not to tell you about this amazing video showing how a seamstresses turns a Karl Lagerfeld sketch into a finished dress and jacket.

After all there's nothing more exciting than seeing how designer garments are made, and what we're actually parting with our money for.

The video, which was given exclusively to The Cut, by Chanel is a great insight into all the hard work that goes into making these pieces and it's definitely worth a watch. Yes the seamstress makes it look easy but watch the way each sequin is picked up and the way the piping is stitched on. I'm not sure I'd have the patience.

I think that if I'd actually seen a video like this during my disastrous attempts in my textiles A-level I may have done better (well I have to blame something.)

It's going to be handbags at dawn with this designer sale

Miu Miu Red Handbag RRP £700 BA £479.JPGAnother day and another handbag bargain (think I'm going to need a bigger house after all of this.)

Now, we're not talking about low low prices here, but those of you who know how much Gucci and Prada bags cost, will understand why I'm so excited about this.

From tomorrow, and for three days only (ok now I sound like a DFS store advert), designer website BrandAlley is having a handbag sale.

It's reducing a range of Miu Miu, Prada and Gucci bags by around £200 to £300.

We love the pictured red Miu Miu bag, which is now down to £479 from £700 and the white Gucci bag, which has been reduced from £1142 to £699.

Hmm I wonder if my bank will extend my overdraft, after all it's for a good cause.

We can now follow in the style steps of Cindy Crawford, America Ferrara (when she's not Ugly Betty) and Blake Lively thanks to House of Frasers new autumn/winter range.

The highstreet store has teamed up with Kenneth Cole New York to exclusively offer us Brits a taste of the designers modern tailoring, smart outerwear and refined casual wear.

The range will be available in 20 stores nationwide and online and includes the diffusion line Kenneth Cole Reaction.

We love the way the collection updates traditional trends, especially the way the humble work shirt has been changed to white poplin and re-designed with an elegant frill-fronted trim.

We also like the dresses in shades of cherry red or black, which will look great worn with cropped leather jackets with a military twist.

And not forgetting the animal printed chiffons, which transport us straight into the 80s power dressing trend of this year.

Website that shows designer bargain offers launched

Brag it up.JPGIt seems that we have taken it upon ourselves today to become your credit crunch fashion fairy Godmother because we've found something that will save you even more money this season.

BragItUp is a recently launched website that lists the week's top ten fashion finds available on the web.

Ok, we can hear you thinking that's not really anything new, but be patient and we'll explain.

Every item that goes onto this site has to be discounted by a minimum of 40% of the original price and preferably be from a top designer, brand or store.

We had a scout around today and spotted some Christian Louboutin's with 60% (no it's not a typo) off, a Leona Edmiston dress down from £310 to £50 and Jimmy Choo sling backs £142 from £475. See we told you this was good.

The site is updated every Thursday and you can also sign up to receive free weekly emails, which shows the deals as soon as they go live on the website. Don't say we don't ever do anything for you.

Our bargain find: Red winter coat

RED COAT _28 QS.jpg
Let's face it; we'll never just be happy with one coat this winter.

However, as the credit crunch continues to bite as icily as the winter weather it doesn't seem we have a choice, does it?

Instead of wallowing we have been having a scout around and we have found a perfect alternative.

This red coat from QS, which is fast becoming a close second to our favourite bargain store Primark, is only £28. Yes that's right, £28 and that's not even its sale price.

With its double breasted waisted look, we can guarantee you'll not only be warm but also be able to afford at least another two coats this winter, or just that one Gucci coat you've been dreaming about.

Topshop tickles our fashion fetish with new range

From the minute we were old enough to go shopping, yes we're talking about sitting in a pram and being pushed around a shopping centre, we've loved Topshop.

The highstreet shop, which gives us affordable and more recently celebrity designed, fashions, has always been a perfect place to shop and, if you can believe it, it's just got better.

On Friday it announced that the independent fashion label Neurotica has produced an exclusive capsule collection. Neurotica for Topshop, gives us the dressed up/dressed down look and we love the sparkling silver lightning print body suit and oversized t shirt.

However, you'll have to hurry as the pieces are made in limited numbers, there's always a downside isn't there?

Macs and hats to keep you dry this winter

Puzzle raincoat.JPGIf, like us you're one of those girls, who has hair that looks, well, like a bush when it gets wet in the rain then you'll love this new collection by Caro London.

The designer has launched its autumn/winter collection of macs and hats, which, yes you guessed it, are 100% waterproof. In fact they are so nice, we're almost (almost) wishing for wet weather.

They are available in Caro's distinctive prints; Puzzle and Woodblock, but this season the company has also added turquoise and purple prints to its range. And if that's not enough there's also matching hats in the same designs.

At £90 for the mac and £20 for the hat, these aren't the cheapest range on the waterproof block, but if they can save our newly blowdried hair then we think they are definitely worth it.

Christmas pampering comes early

Champneys footspaYou may think we've gone a little bit crazy talking about Christmas when we've got (hopefully) a few more months of the summer left, but we can guarantee the festive season will be upon us as quickly as you can say mulled wine.

Thankfully Champneys is on the same festive wavelength as us. It's launched its Home Spa Beauty range, which it claims is a perfect way to look and feel a million dollars at this year's Christmas parties.

Now we know Christmas is supposed to be about giving but even we agree it's far too early to think about other people and this range is definitely all about us.

Those that hate getting their feet out will love the Massaging Bubble Action Deluxe Footspa, which has a jet action footspa and accu-pressure massage rollers. The moving pedicure system also claims to ensure feet are baby soft.

The Champneys Paraffin Wax Heat Therapy System is also a great way to soothe and hydrate dry skin before a manicure or pedicure and is also ideal for elbows and heels especially before applying any festive fake tan.

We also love the Infrared Massage System, which works in the same way as well, a professional masseuse, by relaxing and toning muscles to help open pores, perfect for the morning after a big night out.

The range is available at John Lewis, Amazon and Comet.
