Size zero. The debate

zeromodel.jpgWe’ve stayed away from the size zero debate so far now, but with London Fashion week (LFW) fast approaching we thought we’d bring out the classic debate of whether size zero models should be allowed on the catwalk.

This summer the British Fashion Council which organises LFW, has said that models should have to obtain a doctor’s certificate to prove their healthiness. The aim was to discourage eating disorders but other fashion capitals failed to follow London’s lead. As a result the British Fashion Council consequently abandoned its crusade. Hmmm not very good is it?

And the debate has even been picked up by celebrities. Earlier this month, model Caprice hit out at size zero models: ‘It’s horrible. I think the media should not even pay attention to these women,’ she told Now magazine.

‘It’s disgusting. I think it’s unwomanly and I think it’s unfeminine.’

Now Caprice is hardly what you would call curvy, but she’s not a twiglet either is she?

So we want to hear from you should size zero models be allowed on the catwalk? Vote now.
