If you fancy yourself as a bit of a soap star, or just simply want to wear something they have been spotted in then we may have some good news for you.
Coronation Street starlet was snapped wearing this gorgeous dress at the TV Quick and TV Choice awards, and we’re sure you’ll agree she looks gorgeous.
We tracked down the dress, which is from Forever Unique and is a bargain at £150. It also comes in white for those of us who want a change from the little black dress.
Not only does it mean we need to revamp our wardrobes with the latest designs but now it seems we have to also make a dash to the shops.
To celebrate 25 years of London Fashion Week French Connection has designed a limited edition colour of their best selling Bonnie Cotton dress for only £25.
Judging by French Connection’s price line this is an absolute bargain. Especially when other colour dresses in the same range cost £110.
And now for the bad news. Only 1500 dresses have been made and once they’re gone, they’re, well, gone. The limited edition will be selling in selected stores nationwide and online from Monday 14th September. Better get queuing from the weekend then.
As it gets closer and closer to the autumn, many designers are launching their ranges for the season ahead and Red or Dead is no different.
The British Fashion company has just launched its womenswear collection exclusively in highstreet shop Bank.
The collection features 35-pieces of coats, trousers, skirts and tops as is said to include playful prints, ditzy designs and sculptural shapes.
Those of us loving 80s fashion will love the denim playsuits and leather jackets in the range, while the girly girls among us may fall for the range of tulip dresses.
Despite what’s been said in the press recently I think Katie Price (aka Jordan for those of us who have been sleeping for the past few years,) is not too bad, especially her dress sense.
Those of you who think like me, will therefore be pleased to see that we have found the nearly exactly the same top (well we call it a top, she calls it a dress) she was spotted wearing on a recent night out in Ibiza.
It’s from Lamis Khamis, and unlike Kate’s expensive dress costs £150. You can get your hands on one from Spolied Brat.
If you love Posh’s, Lindsay Lohans and Diane Kruger’s red carpet, figure hugging dress style then you’ll be pleased to know, you will soon be able to get your hands on something similar.
The starlets are all known for wearing Hervé Léger, a designer whose creations became well known in the 80s.
Over the past year the designs have made a huge come back onto the celebrity circuit and they will now be making an entrance into our wardrobes at home.
Why? Because the designer is opening up a UK store in Knightsbridge on the 17 September.
The store will have two levels, plus a VIP area. I think this is fantastic news, and definitely a worthy excuse to join up to the gym to get into one of these gorgeous figure hugging dresses.
Now I’m not sure about you, but I always get confused with my styles in between seasons.
It’s the time when the new is coming in and the old is fading away and you’re not quite sure how to wear the latest fashions. I usually get around this by teaming things up and hoping for the best, and I think, so far it’s worked.
However those who that little bit more cautious will love this video by Topshop, which goes behind the scenes of the store and shows some new-season style inspiration based on its Autumn/Winter 09 collection.
The company, which has had Elle Macpherson, Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell and Jodie Kidd on its books has begun an online search for the next best thing.
It’s asking ladies aged between 16 and 21 (well that’s me out of it then) to post their details online and include three pics including a close up, smiling, a close-up with no smile and a full length title.
The lucky winner will win a £250,000 modelling contract. The UK search will take place in cities across the nation, with the UK final taking place in November at London’s, Il Bottaccio. Watch the video below to get some more information.
Due to many factors, I haven’t had my monthly pedicures this year (gasp with shock or sigh with sympathy as appropriate), in fact I don’t think I’ve had one all year.
Wearing flip flops all summer, walking around bare foot and on the sand has therefore left my feet in a state, where they should be hidden inside some very thick socks. So I was quite pleased when Scholl sent me its newest Cracked Heel Repair Cream K+ to test out.
Now this may not be the sexiest product on the market, and I advise you use it when your other half is out/ too absorbed in the football. It’s said to work within 7 days and show visible results within three.
With every trend that comes onto the high street, there is always the worry that we might go slightly wrong when we try and put it together.
This season Neons are one of those trends. Too much and it might go wrong, and too little and you may not stand out.
That’s why we were thrilled to find this video on shopping site Very. In the video celebrity stylist Louise Roe offers advice on how to wear this autumn’s brights as well as the best styles for different body shapes.
We feel like we’ve found our own personal stylist. Have a watch and let us know what you think.
If you’re a fashionista with an ethical streak then you’ll love this new online store.
Plum Ethical, launched today, has a range of bags from various eco friendly designers including E&KO who are focused on re-use and re-cycling.
The company makes labels from traffic control tickets; they use old coffee sacks and shiny, metal lined tea sacks; and they re-use fire hoses, so you could technically have a bag previously handled by a fireman.
PlanetSilverchilli, another designer on the site, work with fair trade producers in Mexico to bring us funky, chic bags made from recycled crisp packets and can ring pulls. They are also registered with the British associate of fair-trade shops.
The site has every bag you can imagine, from Hobo to Messenger and there’s also a section for recycled bags. Get buying now.
It’s that time of the year again. Summer holidays are reaching an end and the schools are going back meaning there will be more traffic on the road and longer commuting times.
But it’s not all bad news, as the Autumn season begins to approach it means it’s time to update that work wardrobe and get a new outfit or two.
We have a look at some of the key pieces to keep you going through until at least December.
I don’t know about you, but I have thousands of jeans, from designer to high street, and no matter what anyone says, a girl can never have too many of these denim wonders.
So I’m thrilled that trusty high street store New Look has just launched a range of new jeans.
The Yes Yes denim range is pulling tightly on my purse strings bringing with it a range of shapes, fits and washes to suit every taste, including boot cut, skinny, low rise hipster, straight leg or flare. Every style will also come in sizes 8-26 as well as Tall and Maternity.
And there willl be no excuse for not buying a pair, or two, or maybe three, with prices ranging from £10 – £20.
If you love to write and want to get into London Fashion Week without having to disguise yourself as a bin man/very tall supermodel then this might be for you.
This year footwear company Scholl are going to be at one of the hottest fashion events in the world- On|Off during London Fashion Week.
It will be launching a fashion blog at the On|Off fashion shows giving a behind the scenes review of all shows and the latest gossip and trends to emerge and it’s currently looking for a Scholl blogger to head down to London and report back on all the shows.
To enter the competition, which ends this Sunday, all you have to do is visit the Party Feet site, upload an image of yourself in your favourite shoes and write a little bit on why you’d be the perfect party feet blogger.
The winner gets to report from the On|Off shows with VIP access and behind the scenes insight, as well as an I-phone so you can upload stories and videos to the blog as and when it happens.
Despite her posh, celebrity lifestyle Kate Moss doesn’t look at all out of place dressed as a beautiful gypsy for this latest photoshoot.
The model joined a group of travellers on a photo spread for an upcoming issue of V Magazine, shot by Iain McKell and shunned hotels for a designer camping van (well camping might have been too much to ask for.) And she wasn’t exactly slumming it in the clothes she wore for the shoot.
The range included Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony, Kenzo and John Galliano.
According to reports she partied the night away with her new found friends and we’re sure you’ll agree she looks absolutely stunning in this shoot.
If I had been out partying the night before it would have a taken a day of at least ten makeup artists to make me look a fraction as good as Kate.
