I’ve always liked Tom Ford’s designs even before he became a really well known designer for Gucci.

And I still credit him for bringing back the Halston-style velvet hipsters, skinny satin shirts and car-finish metallic patent boots, which he designed when he was at the fashion house.

I’m sure many of you were as gutted as me when he left to begin his own line, especially as so far he hasn’t been designing any women’s clothing.

Yes accessories and fragrances are all very nice but what we really want is a little bit of clothing injected with Mr Ford’s creative mind. Well we may have got our wish because it’s been rumoured that the designer is now looking for investment so he can expand into womenswear.

Now if I would be happy to help here but I don’t think a couple of fivers and a stack of coppers from my money box would quite be enough for what he is looking for. Let’s just hope someone sees his talent and gives him the investment he deserves so he can design the clothes we want.
