It seems that Simon Cowell is unhappy about Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue becoming fashion and style icons right under his nose during X-Factor.

According to X-Factor insiders the grumpy judge, who could be taught a lesson or two about fashion, reminded the girl's earlier this week, that it was a talent and not a fashion show they were on.

We're not sure why Mr Cowell is having a growl about this, instead we think he should take a leaf out of these stylish girl's books and start dressing in a manner that would have our men wanting to copy his look.

Failing that he should just be thankful that his female judges are generating so much extra press with their fashion choices.

We've decided to ignore Mr Cowell's criticism and starting on Monday we'll be bringing you all the latest style news from the weekend's shows including a gallery of similar outfits the girl's were wearing.

After looking at the pictures for Alexa's V Magazine photoshoot (if you haven't seen them scroll down to our previous post now) we've been inspired to help you get a similar look at a fraction of the price.

We have to admit we like Alexa Chung. She's kooky, funny and most of all has great fashion sense.

So we're really not surprised that she wears a mix of lace, leather and sequins by top designers including Stella McCartney, Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana so well in these photos for V Magazine.

The 25-year-old TV presenter and ex model posed for Sharif Hamza and spoke about living in Brooklyn, anxieties and friendships where she claimed she didn't have many friends in America. We'll be your friend Alexa, as long as you share that wardrobe with us.

Another day and another actress brings out a fragrance. This time it's American favourite Reese Witherspoon.

The Legally Blonde and Home Sweet Alabama star has created Bloom for Avon, which is said to have notes of Georgia peach tree leaves, magnolia, gardenia and jasmine. According to Reese the fragrance is also symbolic of where she is in her life right now.

"I'm feeling very strong and independent, and so happy, so full of life. [In Bloom] truly captures that feeling - it's very sensual, very romantic and alluring," she said.

We wonder if wearing this fragrance will bag us a Jake Gyllenhaal too.

It's happened to nearly every one of us. We've gone to a salon for a hair colour expecting to come out with a gorgeous shade of brown only to find its more gothic black than the Eva Longoria colour we asked for.

Naomi Campbell is following Tyra Bank's catwalk steps. The supermodel has taken two steps to rival her catwalk talent rival and is looking for the next top model and photographer.

Joining forces with Talenthouse, a community based website that looks for talented musicians, artists and models, Naomi will be looking for a male and female model to feature in an up and coming photoshoot with a "major" fashion magazine. She is also asking photographers to submit work, which they believe have a "glamour" theme.

We love H&M, not only does it bring us affordable fashions but has also teamed up with a range of designers over the years to bring us some high end styles without all the hefty price tag. We've not stopped thinking about the Jimmy Choo collection, which will arrive in stores next month.

But something that has taken our mind off it slightly is a sneak peak for the highstreet stores collaboration with Sonia Rykiel. If you're a regular reader, you'll know how excited we were when we announced her lingerie line for H&M last month so imagine what this has done to us.

Apparently the collection will include opaque black bras with flowers on the nipples. And see-through mesh panties with flowers on the bottom. Yes, we know, it's a bit extreme but it fits the style bill as lingerie-as-outerwear will be the hottest trend next Spring.

We haven't seen much of Cat Deeley since she upped sticks and left for a new career in the US, but looking at this picture it seems she's doing incredibly well for herself.

Kat was spotted looking gorgeous in a zip front dress, complete with this seasons must have lace look. We think this style suits her perfectly.

Halloween is coming around faster than we can say witches brew, and by the weekend people will be out in their dressed up droves going to parties and celebrating the annual event in a range of different costumes.

Some may choose to bend the rule book a bit, dressing up as superheroes, pink playboy bunnies or cheerleaders and others will stick to the traditional plan and don the witches, zombie and witches cat outfits complete with matching makeup.

Kate Moss has become a well know fashion name amongst us fashionistas in the past few years, designing amazing ranges for Topshop.

We've seen her come up with a range of funky t-shirts, dresses and cardigans and queued for hours outside Topshop to get our hands on the latest must have bit.

So imagine how excited we were to hear Miss Moss is now launching a range of night ware, which we think is perfect for snuggling up on these cold winter nights.

However, as you would expect with any of this starlets pieces, they are far from original (we'll put our fluffy slippers away now.)

Instead Kate's range is based on vintage, as well as exotic cultures, which can be seen quite clearly with this stunning Oriental butterfly kimono and slip.

We haven't been able to get our hands on pictures of the whole collection, which launches on Thursday, but look out very soon for a gallery of this range. We definitely think it'll be worth it.
