Pixie Lott V Festival.jpg

Could we be hearing more moans of dismay from Taylor Momsen very soon?

The actress, turned rocker, last week had a rant about how pop singers are wearing outfits that are more rocky than poppy and blurring the lines of the music. Talking to Spin Magazine she cited Rihanna as one culprit for wearing "f------ leather jackets," claiming it was "really annoying."

So we don't think she'll be pleased to see that Pixie Lott channelled her style at this weekend's V Festival.

Performing at the Hylands site, Pixie went for a cute black mini, which she teamed up with Taylor style stockings. We think she looks great, but what will madam rocker have to say?

V Festival Special: Paloma Faith glams it up

Paloma Faith V Festival.jpg

Paloma Faith is one of our current fashionista favourites.

She's cool, sassy and her eclectic style really makes her stand out from the crowd alsways opting for headpieces that rival Lady Gaga's and wearing bold make-up to match whatever eccentric outfits she's wearing.

So you can imagine how pleased we were when we saw the singer keeping in with her stylish tradition at V over the weekend.

Ms Faith took to the stage at Weston Park Staffordshire in a red flapper style asymmetric fringed frock and gave it her own special twist with a high crown headpiece. We think she looks amazing.

V Festival Special: Taylor Momsen takes to the stage

Taylor Momsen V Festival.jpg

The disappointing August weather did nothing to dampen the spirits of V Festival revellers this weekend. Thousands of wellie clad ladies (and of course gentleman) hit the two venues to watch a range of singers including the Prodigy, Diana Vickers and Florence and the Machines.

Despite complaining that pop was ruining the "rock" image Taylor Momsen also decided to make an appearance at the festival performing with her band Pretty Reckless. Shedding her pretty Gossip Girl image the singer went for her statement suspender set complete with a teeny tiny studded corset style frock for day 2 of the Festival at Weston Park in Staffordshire.

Did you watch Taylor perform and what do you think of her outfit? Let us know by leaving your comments in the box below.

And keep reading because today we're dedicating ShinyStyle to all the celebrity looks at the festival.

Get the look: Katy Perry's new sophisticated bob

Katy Perry Bob.jpg

Wow, Katy Perry's gone all sophisticated on us. The singer/other half of Russel Brand was spotted out and about sporting a cute bob, which made her look alot more grown up.

And it seems we're not the only ones who think so. Celebrity Stylist Mark Woolley, founder of Electric Hairdressing London, told us: "Katy Perry has once again demonstrated that she's the ultimate retro chameleon with her sleek and sassy Lanvin inspired new bob."

He added that her new "bold and fearless style means the world stops to take watch when she changes her hair style and this glossy Anna Wintour homage is bang on for this Autumn/Winter's luxury hair trend."

And he also had a few tips for those of you daring enough to copy Katy's look (we would attempt it but our curls wouldn't behave).

Step one: Apply a nourishing mask like Kérastase Masque Chroma Reflect and wash out after 10 minutes for incredible mirror like shine that's silky to the touch.

Step two: Using a large paddle brush, blowdry through the hair until it is almost dry, pointing the nozzle down the hair shaft to smooth hair and prevent frizz.

Step three: Create volume by using a large Denman Hot Barrel Brush and continue blowdrying through the lengths, starting at the roots until hair is dry.

Step four: Finish by wrapping the ends including the fringe around the barrel brush to frame the face and create shape.

John Lewis.jpg

If, in the past, you've neglected John Lewis, favouring other department stores such as Debenhams and House of Fraser, then we suggest you get your fashion feet back through those doors.

Why? Because, according to Vogue the department store has just announced that Osman Yousefzada and Philip Treacy have been named as just some of the designers who are helping to celebrate John Lewis' £10 million fashion floor revamp, which will be introducing a series of new and limited edition designs.

The two key designers will also be joined by William Tempest, Terry de Havilland and Alex Monroe all of whom are also lending their designing heads to John Lewis' new fashion offerings.

The store's new look and new designer collection will be unveiled at Fashion's Night Out on September 8.

Jordan photoshoot-400.jpg

We know we probably shouldn't be too surprised at Jordan's latest outfit, after all, the model and business woman is well known for her body (and booby) flashing clothes.

However, we thought, being a mum and the sheer amount of criticism in the press, would have calmed her down. We obviously thought wrong, because judging by the outfit she wore to the Boutique iPod Range Photocall held at the Worx, it's getting worse.

The suit, which looks like someone's covered Ms Price, Andre, Reid in tin foil, ready to be put in the oven does nothing to flatter the model. And the skirt which gives a nod to the Hawian look makes her look like a space tourist on tour.

This is just our opinion so we want to hear what you have to say about this look. Vote and leave your comments below to let us know.

They've only been married for a while, but Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom have officially announced that they are expecting their first child.

The couple, who shloped off for a secret wedding last month have ended weeks of speculation, with Mrs Bloom confirming the news in the September issue of Vogue Espana.

"Yes, I am pregnant. Four months along," she said before adding that it had been tricky keeping the news quiet. She continued by telling the magazine that she remembered in the early days of her pregnancy when it was still too soon to say anything, she had a dreadful time at one job, due to morning sickness.

A big congratulations to the pair of you guys.

Red bow dress Miss Selfridge-400.jpg

We're flitting in and out of seasons with our fashion crush posts this week and today we're back in our AW 2010 mode.

After all, who can resist this cute frock from Miss Selfridge?

The dress looks like an authentic vintage number with the 50s bow and cut, and the sleeves are perfect for those winter nights.

Wear it to a late summer BBQ, on a night out with Mary Jane or platform heels, or store in your wardrobe for those windy autumn days.

However, don't wait too long to snap this up, at £28 we have a feeling it'll be flying off those rails.

Spotted: Drew Barrymore and Nicola Roberts

Drew Barrymore london.jpg

Whenever a hot celebrity hits the London streets we get a little tingle of excitement so imagine how we felt when we spotted Drew Barrymore in Covent Garden last night.

The starlet left her hotel to go and meet friends in a casual outfit consisting of ripped jeans, a sheer top and an on-trend biker jacket. She completed the dress down look with lose wavy hair a statement necklace and funky punk belt.

Earlier that day we also spotted Nicola Roberts channelling the A/W aviation jacket must-have, which she teamed up with a tweed skirt.

Mollie King get the look.jpg

Mollie King, along with the rest of The Saturdays singers, has rarely been out of the spotlight this month.

She's been spotted partying the night away, on TV shows promoting the next Saturdays singles, and of course just out and about.

However, one thing that really makes the singer stand out is her amazing wardrobe, which consists of pieces, which can be dressed up or down. She's also a big fan of the nautical, denim shorts and bodycon dress trends often being spotted giving a nod to these styles.

And yesterday she showcased them again when she was spotted out and about in London wearing this classic Breton stripe sailor top from hot London label, Upper 5th.

Emma Watson's new crop

Does Emma Watson ever stop working?

Not only has she been endlessly promoting the next installment of Harry Potter, whipped up a beauty storm with her new cropped hairstyle and auditioned for the part of the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (click here to see who got the role) but she's also now pushing her range of ethnic clothing for People Tree.

The line is set to make its catwalk debut next month but instead of going down the London Fashion Week catwalk, Emma has decided to show off her SS2011 range at The Prince of Wales' A Garden Party To Make A Difference.

The eco festival held in Prince Charles' private gardens will play host to Watson's ethical range on September 12. However, Emma's busy schedule means she won't be able to attend.

"I'm so thrilled that People Tree will be showing the spring/summer collection at A Garden Party To Make A Difference. I think The Prince of Wales' initiative is such a brilliant idea and I'm thrilled," she said.

We can't wait to see the new togs Emma.

Fashion Crush: Asymmetric tribal print frock from Very

Love Label Tribal dress.jpg

We may have been banging on about A/W 2010 fashions this week, but we haven't forgotten about our S/S roots, and, it's still technically the summer right?

So we couldn't resist telling you about this cute frock from Very, which is perfect for that last minute holiday, for a night out, or if you really want to glam it up for a festival.

Not only does it give a huge nod to the asymmetric trend but also to the tribal print look, that's still hot this summer. And if this wasn't enough it also comes with a detachable black skinny belt, which forms a staple part of anyone's wardrobe this season and into the next.

Team up with killer gladiator heels for a smart summer look or dress down with flats. However, a word of warning, this dress comes up teeny tiny so consider buying the next size up.

Georgia May Jagger for Hudson Jeans

Georgia May Jagger for Hudson.jpg

Georgia May Jagger may have been keeping her head down while she's been studying for exams, but the model has now come back with a vengeance. The model has just been announced as the new face of Hudson Jean's A/W2010 range.

Ben Taverniti, creative director at Hudson Jeans, told Vogue: "Georgia May is a true embodiment of the spirit of the Hudson brand.

"She has that certain Je ne sais quoi."

Mario Sorrenti and creative agency LIPMAN shot the campaign at Aldor Manor, an Italian Renaissance style house in New York. The new images show Hudson's key styles for the season, as well as designs from its Classic, Custom, Capsule and Collection lines.

Agelina Salt Premier Paris.jpg

Angelina has really blown us away with her selection of outfits for premiers and promotions of upcoming film Salt.

And there hasn't been any of her trademark black dresses in sight.

Following on from her gorgeous floor skimming Amanda Wakeley frock in London earlier this week, Ange stepped onto the Paris red carpet in a knee length sparkly number by Pamella Roland, which she teamed up with champagne satin Salvatore Ferragamo court shoes.

Similarly to the London premier she opted for, subtle make up however her Paris hairdo was an updo, rather than the loose wavy look she went for in London.
