The media world is in a royal frenzy today following the announcement that Prince William is to marry his long term girlfriend Kate Middleton.
Clarence House confirmed the news in a statement, where it said: “The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.”
It continued to claim that the wedding will take place in the spring or summer of 2011, in London. The pair who got engaged in October during a private holiday in Kenya, will live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force.
We have to admit we have a style soft spot for Kate who hasn’t really conformed to the twee royal fashion. Yes, she’ll don a hat for a special event and perhaps wear a skirt suit for a royal occasion but out of the spotlight her style is pretty much casual. On a night out she’s not afraid to show off her figure opting for little dresses while her daytime look is all about jeans, boots and jumpers.
The future princess is also a fan of the floral look regularly being spotted in this print on skirts and dresses.
