Masculine style has always been lurking around the fashion wings.
Sharon Stone set the scene for this look back in the 80s when she donned a tux style look for a range of events and over the years other celebrities picked it up.
However, this season the trend has taken centre stage with a huge range of A-listers wearing it. Fearne Cotton went for this look for the Draper Awards, bringing it bang into this season with a pair of leather look trousers, while Leighton Meester went for a traditional grey suit and tie for the IFP’s earlier this week.
Cheryl Cole gave a loose nod to the look a few weeks back, teaming up a tie and shirt with jeans, while Lily Allen and Jennifer Love Hewitt who both showcased this look earlier in the year.
And the A/W 2010 catwalk also went mad for this look with a range of designers sending models down in this look, and at times swapping the traditional trousers for stylish shorts.
We’re just off to raid our other half’s wardrobes…..
