We’ve been beavering away looking for Christmas gift that will please your friends, but if new research is to be believed then it looks as though many of you will be spending your hard earned cash on yourselves this season.

According to a survey by the Clothes Show Live today reveals over half (51 percent) of women admit to spending more money on themselves than their friends and family at Christmas time.
Beauty treatments and party frocks top the poll as the most expensive diversions from present buying. And just in case you wanted to spend some dough on your other half take note, because it seems 1 In 3 men would prefer a classic rom-com to an action movie at Christmas

The survey was commissioned to coincide with the show’s Fashion Theatre theme of ‘A Night at the Movies’, over 3000 people who attended Clothes Show Live were surveyed to find out their guilty pleasures during the festive season.
