Jennifer Lopez has been named as the new face of Tous Jewellery.
The ‘American Idol’ judge – who is well known for her love of diamonds and bling accessories – will front the line’s new adverts with a photo shoot by Ellen Von Unwerth, with the brand’s boss Salvador Tour claiming she was a great “illustration” for them.
He said: “Jennifer is not just an amazingly beautiful woman, but also a talented actress, musician and dancer sharing with us strong family values as we are a family owned business.
She is genuine and endlessly charismatic; a great illustration of our brand.”
Responding to her new job, Jennifer joked: “All girls love diamonds!”
The 41-year-old star takes over from Australian singer Kylie Minogue in the role as the face of the Spanish brand.
Speaking about the job previously, Kylie said she was “totally proud” to be involved with Tous.
She said: “I love jewellery and it’s wonderful to be able to have my pick of all these gorgeous designs. The pieces are fun, stylish and completely affordable. I’m totally proud to represent something beautiful and Spanish.”
Jennifer has been the face of a number of famous brands in the past including Venus razors and a campaign for Gucci with her three-year-old twins Max and Emme.

Georgia May Jagger’s new collection for Hudson jeans was inspired by her mother.
The 19-year-old rising catwalk star – who is also the face of the brand – revealed she loves the style of her mother Jerry Hall, so much that she has “practically devoted this line to her”.
Georgia said: “I once said my parents were embarrassing as everyone’s parents tend to be. It got taken in a negative way when really it was all quite light hearted. My mum is such a great role model. I’ve practically devoted this line to her. To have such a long career is amazing.
“It all started with me looking at pictures of people wearing jeans I admired, like mum in the 70s. I always wanted a pair of jeans with lace up the side so it was always an aim to create a pair that incorporated that but were easy to wear. I also really wanted to do mid-rise shapes – I think they look much more flattering. Then I started collecting fabrics and looking at colours.”
While Georgia is happy with her denim line, she admitted she would love to branch out into other areas of design.
The blonde beauty – whose father is Rolling Stone frontman Sir Mick Jagger – explained to vogue.com: “I am just so thrilled to be doing this at such a young age but I wouldn’t mind trying something else. I’d like to do shoes or maybe dresses. I’d really like to learn how to cut a beautiful dress.”

Gemma Arterton’s style is a contradiction of tough and glamorous.
The ‘Clash of the Titans’ actress believes she was the perfect choice to front G-Star’s latest collection because the fashion brand embody her choices of practical yet feminine outfits.
She said: “I feel like a tough girl in a fancy frock sometimes, and I think G-Star is the same. I like the contradiction between glamour and durability. Sometimes people are shocked when they meet me because of this contradiction.”
Gemma’s advertising campaign features in a new film, ‘G-Star New York Fashion Week’, and features celebrities including Rosario Dawson and Jared Leto at their New York Fashion Week Show.
On camera, Rosario praised the British beauty’s appointment as face of the firm.
She said: “Awesome! I am a big fan of hers, I think she is wonderful and I have heard great things about her.”
Gemma has previously admitted she likes to keep her style simple.
She said: “For me it’s kind of simple really. I don’t really go for anything too embellished or fancy or frilly or girly and it has to be easy because I haven’t got time for anything that’s too difficult!
“I just like putting on a pair jeans and jacket and going, although I do like heels – I’ve got a passion for shoes, but I always end up wearing the one same pair of shoes. But it works with my lifestyle because I’m always running around so it doesn’t work for me to wear tight skirts and corsets, or whatever it is! Jeans are definitely the way forward.”

Emma Watson has an “adventurous” side to her style.
The ‘Harry Potter’ actress has teamed up with designer Alberta Ferretti for new eco-clothing line All Pure Threads and believes the collection reflects her own personal style.
She said: “My style’s definitely evolved. I usually go for classic, simple things, but then I have this adventurous side.
“I’m always thinking and experimenting, and I make conscious decisions to try and support new talent and ethical fashion.”
Emma loves designing her own collection because she enjoys being in control, and also sees it as another outlet for her creativity.
She told Britain’s InStyle magazine: “I love having control. My job as an actress is to bring to life another person’s vision, but with clothes, I can express my own creativity.
“And I wanted to be able to buy fashion knowing it’s not harming the person who made it or the environment.
“I’ve always been involved in art and I love fashion – it’s just something I really enjoy.”

Sarah Harding has electric facials to stop her from getting spots.
The Girls Aloud singer keeps her complexion blemish-free with a special beauty treatment from cosmetic company Guinot which uses an electrical current to treat your skin.
She said: “The Guinot facials are amazing. They do an amazing Micro-Derm facial that has this electrical current that runs through your skin. It’s magnetic and makes this buzzing noise. It really helps with your spots and balances out your skin.”
The 29-year-old star doesn’t only pamper her face, she also uses hot stones to keep her body looking great.
She added: “I also love a good massage – especially with hot stones. I love everything about spas and spending days getting pampered.”
Sarah – who is engaged to DJ Tom Crane – is taking her beauty regime more seriously the older she gets because she wants to stay looking young.
She said: “I’ve started looking after myself a bit more than I used to. I’m getting regular facials and massages, trying to eat well – that sort of thing . When you’re in the public eye you’re always going to scrutinise yourself. You want to look a certain way and try to maintain that and it’s difficult.”

Yohji Yamamoto has long been a much-loved designer in all of the fashion capitals ever since his Fashion Week debut in the beginning of the 1980s, a decadent and exciting time for fashion. Since then he has consistently pushed the boundaries of avant-garde and created collection upon collection of exciting fashion.
In a way of thanks, London has made space in the much-loved Victoria & Albert Museum which will showcase his most loved designs, including menswear from his POUR HOMME line.
If you’re a textiles/fashion student the exhibition is a must-see. It’s an opportunity to see some of the most experimental work of one of our generation’s most mysterious and elusive designers; the exhibition features the designer’s exploration into the concept of cut and tailoring, as well as playing with traditional features of Japanese kimono to create edgy, innovative fashion.
The exhibition, which opened to the public yesterday, is at the Victoria & Albert Museum in central London.

Christian Dior Couture Autumn/Winter 2006
Last week we wrote up John Galliano’s A/W 2011 catwalk show, which was shown amidst a flurry of outrage about the unforgivable anti-semitic remarks the designer was caught on camera making in a cafe in Paris. Since his drunken outburst, he has rightfully been dropped as creative director for iconic French fashion house Christian Dior, and rumours are waiting to be confirmed that designer Ricardo Tisci has been appointed to step into his shoes.
Shiny Style will never defend the recent actions of John Galliano and wholeheartedly agree with his dismissal. However, he has been one of fashion’s brightest talents for the past two decades, and has been unrivalled as a couturier. His lusciously ornate and avant-garde designs have always embodied the luxurious spirit of Christian Dior, a classic label, while always developing and looking forward to new trends. That’s why we’re so sad that he’s single-handedly destroyed his career in the manner that he has, and let so many of his supporters down.
So here’s one final gallery for Galliano; one of fashion’s most important designers, whose work at Dior has been an absolutely magical period for couture and ready-to-wear. Check out our gallery of our favourite designs from the past ten years, and leave your thoughts about Galliano and his work below.

Oozing glamour and drama at a Vogue anniversary party - not many girls could make dark shiny fabric look so good, but a supermodel like Lara can
Mandatory Credit: WENN.com
Say what you will about supermodels and the debatable exclusivity of the inner circle of fashion, but Lara Stone is a model that’s difficult to dislike. With her disarmingly wholesome and beautiful, gap-toothed smile, her curves, which set her apart from every other ten-a-penny size zero clothes horse, and her own admission that she is “afraid of other females”, she’s one of the only famous models that we could imagine ourselves being best friends with. (If she’d let us, because we’re female). We want to hang out with her on the weekends with her comedian hubby David Walliams, drinking tea and watching Take Me Out on Sky Plus, and yes – raiding her wardrobe.
What we like about Lara’s personal style is how effortless and simple it seems. She never puts on too much eye glitter or wears a hideous assortment of garments that even Gok Wan would turn up his nose at – her outfits are always low-key and classic. It’s no wonder that she’s the face of Calvin Klein, one of the most classic minimal fashion houses practising today. Whether she’s wearing a spectacular party dress or a LBD, she always manages to look immaculate without appearing too studied. Want to see for yourself? Check out the gallery above for our favourite Lara looks.

Asos Premium Flower Detail Hat
If you want to rock nude the romantic way, this turban-style floral hat will look incredible worn with head-to-toe neutrals. You can find it at Asos.
It’s been no secret for a while now that in fashion, nude tones are hot, hot, hot. Ever since pale peaches, beiges and neutral greys have become en vogue they’ve been absolutely everywhere, from buttery leather totes at Mulberry to refreshingly pretty and feminine blazers at your local Topshop. With the emergence of red-hot colour being the next explosive trend on the catwalk, as seen at Jil Sander and House of Holland, you might be mistaken to think that nude is on it’s way out – but au contraire, it’s not. With the dazzling success of December’s “Black Swan”, starring Natalie Portman, ballet-beautiful fashion is more in than ever.
Wondering how to carry these colours into your spring/summer wardrobe as the year continues? Make like Stella McCartney, who boldly opted for pale pink and peach skinny trouser suits in her S/S 2011 collection, and choose jackets and slim-fitting chinos in nude tones for a look that is feminine, yet manages to be fashion forward. When it comes to eveningwear, anything goes – romance is the word for the whole season and you can opt for as many ruffles, embellishments and pleats as you like.
For our favourite nude pieces on the high street, check the gallery above.

Kate Winslet thinks the public believe she is a “fat Viking”.
The 35-year-old actress – who is well known for defending her curvy figure – is often complimented on how good she looks, leading to her presuming people think of her as bigger than she is.
She said: “It seems to me I look very different from how people expect me to be.
“Clearly they think I’m a great big fat Viking. My body is different through nothing other than my being older. My clothes fit me the same way they’ve fitted me for the last five, six years. And of course I was a lot more voluptuous then.”
However, she admits she is less keen to talk about her body now because its “hypocritical”.
Kate added to Britain’s Vogue magazine: “I felt I had to defend my body and took a very public stand, which I still absolutely believe in. But I’ve stopped talking about it now. And, at a certain point, it does become hypocritical.”
Despite not wanting to talk about her figure, Kate’s face is becoming more important to her and she often notices how she is gaining wrinkles.
The ‘Revolutionary Road’ star explained: “I’m more aware of things like wrinkles on my face. They’re becoming much more pronounced, because that’s the muscle I use the most when acting. But it’s my face. So, whatever.”
