Jean Paul Gaultier presented the epitome of classic Parisian chic at his A/W 2011 collection. The designer sent grey haired beehived wigged models down the catwalk in a range of 40s and 60s styles ranging from tweed and herringbone suits to classic tight black shift dresses, tailored suits and pussybow blouses.

However, true to form Gaultier didn’t just stick to this era, bringing his collection bang up to date with a range of PVC puffa jackets as well as fur numbers.

Opening and closing the show was French comedienne, Valérie Lemercier, who bounced along the runway with possibly the biggest hair seen this season.
