We’ve had the maxi, we’ve had the midi and we’ve had the mini. However, this season there’s a new trend on the length block and that’s what the industry is calling “The Middleton”.

Named after princess-to-be Kate Middleton, this style takes her status as a style icon to the next level with a hemline designed specially to reflect her look.
Eagle eyed fashionistas will have already spotted this length, which sits just above the knee, in the range of pictures of the future princess.

Her blue Issa engagement dress was really the first to show off this trend. This was followed by her white Reiss dress. However, the past week it’s become far more prevalent as she’s attended a range of Royal events all in the length that shows off those knees, but keeps her looking modest.

Within the next few weeks we can predict that the highstreet will take a huge interest in this trend, which is going to be hot, hot, hot this season. We never thought we’d say this but it’s time to get toning those knees.
