Karl Lagerfeld has designed his own range of glassware.
The German sartorialist has created a collection of crystal with Swedish specialists Orrefors, and unveiled it at a launch in Paris yesterday.
The range features pieces starting at $131 for a champagne flute and $1,600 for a large vase.
Talking about the range, he said: “It’s not like cheap perfume bottles.”
It is not the first time Chanel designer Karl has turned his hand to work on drink receptacles – he has previously collaborated with Coca-Cola Light on a range of bottles.
The limited edition collection was made out of aluminium and featured his own infamous silhouette – complete with pony-tail and a high collared shirt.
Coco Rocha and Baptise Giacobini fronted the brand in a typically Lagerfeld outfit of a white shirt and black neck time.
The bottles, which were only released in France, went on sale costing $63 and came with a matching bottle opener.

Cheryl Cole was annoyed Simon Cowell didn’t have the “guts” to tell her she had been sacked from the US ‘X Factor’.
The 27-year-old beauty – who was officially replaced on the show by Nicole Scherzinger earlier this week following two weeks of speculation – is upset the music mogul had created a “circus” around the talent show and believes it is “shoddy” her dismissal was made public before there had been any official statement.
A source said: “Cheryl is very much her own person and she hated the circus that the ‘X Factor’ had become.
“She was annoyed that when the bad news came, Simon did not even have the guts to tell her himself and left it to another executive.
“But she was even more upset that the discussions over her contract became open season for everyone. It was shoddy to say the least.”
Cheryl is also said to have hit out at 51-year-old Simon by claiming she is no one’s “puppet” in text messages to her friends.
The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “After the reports surfaced at the weekend that Cowell wanted her back, her pals were clamouring to know what was going on.
“Her text response was short and brutal – that she was ‘no one’s puppet.’ It said it all. And while not mentioning Cowell by name it was clear who she meant.”
Meanwhile, Nicole – who was originally supposed to co-host the show with Welsh presenter Steve Jones – has confirmed she only found out she had replaced Cheryl as a judge when she read reports in the press.
She said: “I haven’t said this yet, but I think it’s official that I have been made a judge. It’s an amazing opportunity.
“I’m kind of finding out along with everyone else. It’s kind of crazy to read about it in the newspaper first.”
Eva Green wishes John Galliano could turn back time.
The actress is friends with the designer – who will stand trial in Paris on June 22 on charges of verbally abusing three people with anti-Semitic and racist slurs on two separate occasions earlier this year – and while she is not defending his actions, she says his behaviour was very out of character.
She told The Observer: “I haven’t spoken to him. It’s difficult to talk about this subject, because I don’t really know what happened. He is extremely fragile, a very sensitive, creative person with a great sense of humour and he’s always been so kind to me. He’s very shy. I adore him. It’s been very brutal and I really…I just wish he could go back in time and for it not to happen.
“I’m sure he’s going to get back [in to fashion] because he’s so talented. Sometimes, you can make mistakes. I don’t think he’s anti-Semitic. I’m Jewish. I don’t think he has anything against the Jews. I think it’s more that he was probably a bit drunk.”
Eva also believes the couple who filmed the designer’s outbursts should take some responsibility.
She said: “Something must have happened to trigger the outburst. I’m very sad. He has to get better. He’s very vulnerable.”
Following the incident, John reportedly checked into The Meadows rehab clinic in Arizona after being urged to get help for his alcohol problems by Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.

Daisy Lowe had “meltdowns” about feeling like a “massive tree trunk”.
The 22-year-old beauty says it has taken her several years to be comfortable with her curvaceous figure and though she knows she isn’t fat, Daisy admits she can’t help but feel big next to slimmer models.
She said: “It has taken me seven years to get to the point where I can be comfortable with not being as thin as the rest of them.
“The public can say, ‘It’s really cool that you’re not conforming to this anorexic ideal’, but then I still have to go and stand next to all of the other girls. I’m not saying that I am big, but when you stand next to a beanpole, you’re going to look like a massive tree trunk.
“Literally, it’s only in the past six months that I’ve come to terms with it. Before then…it was hard. I used to have private meltdowns all the time.”
The stylish star – whose parents are fashion designer Pearl Lowe and rocker Gavin Rossdale – also admitted when she isn’t working, she loves to wear the clothes of her actor boyfriend Matt Smith, particularly when he is away filming as they make her feel closer to him.
She told the July issue of InStyle magazine: “He dresses really well. I love his style.”
Eliza Doolittle would never have plastic surgery.
The 23-year-old singer says her mother taught her to be “confident with what they’ve got” and wouldn’t change the “dangly” legs she insured for £10 million.
She said: “I really don’t think plastic surgery is a good idea. People who’ve had it done don’t look younger or better, they just look like they’ve had plastic surgery. My mum taught me that bodies are bodies, and they come in all shapes and sizes – we should be free about that.
“My legs are a bit dangly and my knees point inwards. Everyone has insecurities, but I try not to focus on them. It’s important to be confident with what you’ve got.”
Eliza also admitted she doesn’t think twice about stripping off at the beach on holiday to flaunt the body which has landed her a modelling contract with Nike.
She added to more! magazine: “I like getting a tan, so if I’m lying on the beach I want to get as much skin out as possible.
“I’m thinking of somewhere hot and yummy in Europe. We’ll get a 16-person villa in a cool location and just have an amazing time.”

Kim Kardashian has found her signature look.
The reality TV star – who is famed for her curvy figure and sexy dress sense – says she now knows what looks good on her and doesn’t really change her fashion choices.
She said: “When I moved to New York from Los Angeles, people thought my look would change, but I know what works for me and I’m sticking with it. I’ve been trying out the no make-up look, though. I get it – it’s very ‘fashion’.”
Kim – who recently got engaged to basketball star Kris Humphries – says she is “obsessed” by beauty and loves using lots of make-up to transform herself.
She told Style magazine: “I’m obsessed with beauty. I love the transformation. To get big eyes I use Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow, Lancome mascara and Mac Lash strips fro added drama. Before I apply foundation, I use Bare Escentuals shimmer powder to get a powder glow. I also wear my signature scent Kim Kardashian, which is really light.”
Lady Gaga feels famous because of her style.
The 25-year-old singer picked up her Fashion Icon award at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards last night in a blue wig and a Thierry Mugler dress, and revealed she was very nervous at being gifted with the accolade at New York’s Lincoln Center.
She said: “I can’t believe I’m allowed in here. My sister is here with me tonight. I told her I was very nervous.
“I used to save up my money to buy Mugler vintage archive. I used to save up all my money. I had to have it. That’s really what fashion is all about for me. I already felt like I had made it before I had made it.
“All of you made me feel like a star before I was. Thank you for believing in me.”
Louis Vuitton head Marc Jacobs won the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, which was given to him by friend Sofia Coppola.
Accepting the prize, he said: “This achievement is born of love, passion, creativity and a hell of a lot of hard work.
“I believe we all know and feel the greatest reward is the process itself.”
