Charlize Theron has signed up as the face of the Dior VIII watch collection.
The South African actress – who has previously served as the representative for the French brand’s J’adore fragrance collection – did not hesitate when she was asked to work with them again because she saw how “good looking” the watch was.
She said: “To work with them again was a no-brainer and when I saw the product I was like, ‘That is a good looking watch!’ ”
However, the Oscar-winning beauty has not always been such a fan of the accessory, and only recently began wearing a timepiece again because she “missed” it.
She said: “I didn’t even wear a watch for like 10 years and only two years ago did I start wearing one again. I really missed it as a piece of jewellery.”
Charlize, 35, also reveals she has never come to terms with seeing billboards with her face on when she has advertises for Dior.
She said: “How is that normal? It’s always incredibly bizarre. It’s like an out of body experience in many ways. I’m very proud of it, but it’s very awkward to look at yourself like that.”

Jennifer Lopez is to launch her new fragrance on the Home Shopping Network on July 2.
The singer-and-actress will appear on the channel for eight hours – during which she will answer calls from fans – to promote her 17th scent Love & Light.
According to a Coty spokesperson, the perfume will combine “luminous florals with her sensual signature of luxurious woods,” and is a follow-up to last year’s Love & Glamour fragrance.
The perfume comes packaged in a bottle inspired by the curves of a woman, with a pearlescent finish and pale mint and gold accents, while a jewel-like cap aims to add a touch of luxury.
While Jennifer’s perfumes have all been a success, she recently revealed her first foray into fashion was a huge disappointment.
The ‘American Idol’ judge teamed up with Tommy Hilfiger’s brother Andy to launch her own clothing range, Sweetface, in 2001 but has since admitted she felt “trapped” by it.
She said: “I just felt like I never got a fair chance to do it right. And on top of it, I felt like I was trapped in a situation I couldn’t get out of, and my name was stamped on things that I didn’t believe in.”
Although the line closed, Jennifer didn’t let it put her off designing another line and has teamed up with Tommy and her husband Marc Anthony to create a fashion collection with Kohls.

Lily Allen is pregnant.
The singer’s new husband Sam Cooper announced the happy news to the couple’s friends and family during his speech at their wedding reception over the weekend.
A friend of the couple is quoted by the MailOnline website as saying: “There were tears all around. This is the happiest day of Lily and Sam’s lives and they are so in love. This is the icing on the wedding cake!”
Lily is believed to be 16 weeks pregnant and Sam decided to include the announcement in his speech after they went for the 12-week scan and were told the baby is developing healthily.
The happy news comes seven months after the 26-year-old singer tragically lost her and Sam’s baby six months into the pregnancy last November.
Earlier in the day, Lily and Sam tied the knot at the St James the Great church in Cranham, near Stroud, Gloucestershire, South West England, before the newlyweds and their guests headed to the couple’s £3 million mansion for the reception which is being held in a marquee in their garden.
Lily wore a lace wedding dress designed by Delphine Manivet and guests included her actor-and-comedian father Keith Allen, comic Harry Enfield and her brother Alfie.
The ‘Smile’ singer’s half-sister Sarah Owen – who also attended the nuptials – previously revealed her sibling and Sam planned to try for a baby in 2011 following last year’s tragedy.
Sarah – who runs vintage London clothes shop Lucy in Disguise – said: “They’re going to start trying (for a baby) in the New Year.
“New Year, new start. Losing the baby totally devastated her … But Lily is absolutely determined to be a mum. This is what she wants more than anything in the whole wide world, more than her singing career.”
In January 2008, Lily suffered a miscarriage when she was dating Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons.

The weekend bought with it a range of events over in the US and here in blighty.
Jessie J and Jennifer Lopez donned the black outfits and braved the UK rain yesterday to perform at the Capital FM Summer ball.
Jennifer Lopez went for an embellished black strappy top which she teamed up with black cargo trousers before changing into a snake print frock, while Jessie J went for cropped black skinnies paired up with a sheer black sleeved top.
Nicole Scherzinger on the other hand went for a red fringed frock for her performance before changing into a silver metallic jacket.
Over in LA Catherine Zeta Jones donned a red embellished slinky dress for the Tony Awards, while Brook Shields went for a white Grecian style dress.
They were joined by Kate Flannery who went for a simple black scoop neck dress for the event.

Duchess Catherine made a striking vision for her first public appearance with husband Prince William last night at the 10th annual Absolute Return for Kids (ARK) Gala Dinner at Kensington Palace.
Kate (29) wowed the 1,000 guests in a shimmery dusty pink silk tulle Jenny Packham gown with sequin and crystal embellishment across the waist and L.K. Bennett shoes, with a box clutch to match.
As expected the Jenny Packham dress from her SS11 collection had reportedly sold out in the early hours of Friday 10 June – proving that Kate Middleton is well on her way of becoming a style icon in her role as future Queen.
Prince William looked quite dashing too!

Kim Kardashian is hoping to get pregnant by the “end of the year”.
The 30-year-old socialite – whose basketball star boyfriend Kris Humphries proposed last month with a 20.5 carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring – has revealed the couple will have started trying for their first child by the time 2011 draws to a close.
Asked whether they are hoping to become parents anytime soon, Kim said: “I hope so, I really hope so. Maybe by the end of the year. Well, I won’t have a baby by the end of the year, but maybe we’ll start trying by the end of the year. After the wedding.”
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star also revealed she will be keeping her current surname once she ties the knot with Kris, but will be known as “Mrs. Humphries” at home.
She added: “I think at home and privately, for sure I’ll be Mrs. Humphries. Maybe I will make it Kim Kardashian-Humphries, but I think I will always have Kardashian for work. But at home, Humphries.”
Kim has made no secret of her desire to have a large family, but recently admitted she had scaled down her plans for six children after seeing how difficult it has been for her sister Kourtney Kardashian to raise her 18-month-old son Mason.
She said: “I do want kids. I want four. I started at six a few years ago.
“I’ve always wanted a big family. But seeing how much hard work brining up Mason is for Kourt has given me a reality check. I don’t think I’ll be rushing into that just yet!”

We have to admit we’re slightly less envious of Pippa Middleton upon hearing the news that she was piped to the Rear of the Year post by TV presenter Carol Vorderman.
The ex Countdown presenter bumped Ms Middleton to the top spot after appearing in a range of snaps wearing figure hugging designer dresses.
”I am really surprised and flattered to get this award, particularly at this stage of my life,” Vorderman said.
”I always suspected there were a lot of people out there who were glad to see the back of me, so this has turned out to be very funny indeed.”
The bottom world was buzzing with rumours that Pippa could be in with a chance of winning after showing off her rear in her bridesmaids dress at the Royal Wedding in May, but the bottom line is she just didn’t seem to have what it took.

An intimate video of Jennifer Lopez with her ex-husband Ojani Noa has been recovered.
Ojani’s manager Ed Meyer handed over the data drive which contains the footage to be locked in a safe deposit box at the City National Bank in Century City, California to which Jennifer’s attorney Jay Lavely, will maintain possession of the key and although Ed was happy to part with the tapes he didn’t want to give them directly to Mr. Lavely.
He told E!: “Now there is an evidentiary chain. Before they just wanted me to hand it over to Jay Lavely and he would just put it in a drawer. We went with a bank so people will be photographed coming in and out and there is no tampering.”
Before the tapes are locked up, Jennifer will be allowed to view the footage as will Ojani and his current girlfriend Claudia Vazquez – who had tried to sell it for profit.
Ed has previously claimed there are “about 15-20 minutes of total nudity between all the different clips among the 27 hours of footage” of Ojani and Jennifer – who divorced after less than a year of marriage in 1998 – and he is believed to have sold it to his girlfriend Claudia for $1 so she could release it on his behalf after he was banned from doing so.

Victoria Beckham is “passionate” about making women feel beautiful.
The signer-turned-fashion designer loves nothing more than seeing people get a confidence boost from wearing one of her creations.
She said: “It’s been a really exciting time. It’s my passion to make women look and feels beautiful and the highest compliment I can receive is when women enjoy what I’m doing.”
Victoria feels lucky to have so many friends in the fashion industry because they have been able to share their expertise with her.
Asked for her highlight of the year, she said: “Seeing the finished collection arrive in time for the selling season!
“It isn’t about proving myself – I have a lot of friends who are designers and I’ve learnt so much.”
The 37-year-old star’s favourite creation is the signature ‘Victoria’ bag, which she says will always be a feature of her collections.
She told Britain’s Glamour magazine: “Aesthetically it’s my ideal piece as it showcases luxurious materials and colours.
“It symbolises my style and will always remain in the collection.”

Cheryl Cole puts her hair in a high ponytail to look taller on the beach.
The ‘Fight for This Love’ singer – who stands at 5ft 3in – likes to appear as statuesque as possible when she hits the beach but as she won’t wear heels, she finds other ways.
She said: “Give yourself some height – without heels – by pulling your hair into a really high sleek ponytail.”
While she’ll put her hair up for the beach, Cheryl recently revealed she feels “close to heaven” when she has big hair.
The ousted US ‘X Factor’ judge – who has been sensationally dropped from the pop star search show – caused a stir with her bouffant locks at the first auditions last month but despite criticism for her look, the British beauty insisted she was pleased with her appearance on the day.
She said: “I love that style. I felt really glamorous with it.
“The bigger the better I always say – the higher the hair, the closer to heaven. I can do it myself after all these years of practice.”
