Cheryl Cole can’t go shopping in Los Angeles because she gets hounded by the paparazzi.
The former ‘X Factor’ judge has recently bought a $5 million two-bedroom apartment in Beverly Hills, and while she loves the city her close pal Kimberley Walsh revealed spending five days in Los Angeles with Cheryl recently made her realise how chaotic her bandmate’s life is.
She explained to the Daily Star newspaper: “It made me realise what it is like for her. I get scared for her in the madness.
“It was wonderful to go and chill out completely. We had a bit of a dance and discovered coffee-flavoured Patron Tequila. It makes you a nice happy drunk so it was our girls’ holiday drink of choice.
“The only thing missing was a bit of shopping but it became far too hard to organise as Cheryl gets hounded out there by the paparazzi. It was absolutely terrifying.”
Meanwhile, a model and former Miss Ireland contestant who has been linked to Cheryl’s ex husband Ashley Cole has claimed the soccer star has no plans to reunite with his former spouse.
Collette McBarron told The Sun newspaper: “Without saying too much I could guarantee that he probably isn’t, unless I’m hearing lies.
“I can’t say I’ve never met him or that we’ve never been out together because clearly there are pictures of that on different occasions.”

Joss Stone has turned into “Sherlock Holmes” in the aftermath of the foiled plot to kidnap her.
The singer was targeted by two men who were arrested near her home in Devon, South West England, in June and charged with planning to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.
Although she is trying to put the terrifying incident behind her, Joss has been taking inspiration from the famous fictional British detective to find out what the motivation behind the plot was.
She said: “That (the kidnap plot) is a little bit crazy. God, I could go on about that for some time.
“I feel like … I’ve turned into Sherlock Holmes like, ‘Oh, OK, well maybe this person? But no, can’t be. Well what about this time I went to this place and I told that guy to shove it? No, it’s not him. No, I don’t know.’ ”
Joss still finds the whole situation “crazy” and her mother Wendy is still furious and upset about what happened.
Speaking to ‘Access Hollywood’, she said: “People are crazy and maybe they need a hug? Or a spliff? I don’t know … they need something. It’s very rude and uncouth … Like, ‘Come on, can’t you do something better with your Tuesday? It’s very, very weird.’
“Yeah, my mum’s pretty p***ed off, let me tell you.”
Two men, Junior Bradshaw, 30, and 33-year-old Kevin Liverpool – both from Manchester, North West England – were at Exeter Crown Court last week for a preliminary hearing.
The 24-year-old pop star is now concentrating on her new super-group Super Heavy, which she has formed with Sir Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, Damian Marley and A.R. Rahman.

Kate Winslet says being stylish is hard work.
The ‘Mildred Pierce’ star admits being a busy working mother often leaves her with little time to plan her wardrobe but praises American knitwear brand St John with helping her to look good.
Kate – who recently became the face of the brand – said: “Being a person who wants to be able to pull off something that is stylish and comfortable and needing to be able to pull a good look together with not much time can often be extremely difficult but a company like St John makes it so simple.
“The clothes are cut beautifully, the fabrics are elegant, you can look extremely chic without trying too hard. You don’t feel that the clothes are something that only a model would be able to wear and obviously I’m not a model, I don’t have a model shape, I have a real shape. These are the kind of clothes that I would wear, functional and practical.
“The St. John collection is effortless and chic, and I think speaks to how real women live and dress today.”
Creative director George Sharp has previously said the ‘Titanic’ star “captures the style” of the brand’s targeted female audience.
He said: “She is an accomplished, beautiful woman with an extraordinary body of work, and one of the most admired actors of her generation.
“She embodies the modern sensibility of St John, she is contemporary and authentically captures the style of the St John woman.”

Jennifer Lopez earned a reported $1 million for performing at a wedding in the Ukraine.
The singer-and-actress – who, last week, announced her seven-year marriage to Marc Anthony was over – flew into the Ukraine yesterday morning, to perform at the nuptials of billionaire Serhiy Taruta’s daughter in the evening.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: “He’s a wealthy guy who wanted J.Lo and was willing to pay top dollar.”
Following her separation with Marc, friends close to Jennifer – who has three-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with the Latino singer – she has thrown herself into work as it is helping her cope.
One pal said: “She is jumping back into work and being a mom with all her energy and she is really excited. She feels like she has grown leaps and bounds and is a new person now, better than ever!”
Both Jennifer and Marc – who married in 2004 – admit it was a “difficult decision” to end their relationship.
They said in a statement: “We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters.
“It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”

The 20-year-old singer – who has her own range of clothing for UK high street chain Lipsy – admits the 60s American actress has always been an icon of hers while fellow popstar Katy shares a similar taste in clothes.
She told more! magazine: “I’m a big fan of the 60s – Edie Sedwick is my style icon. I love it when this season changes and you can bust out the chunky knits and layering.
“Katy wears some really cool, young things. And she’s obsessed with cats
too, like me. I love anything cat-related, so I’ll be living in the leopard-print hot pants from my Lipsy range.”
As well as talking about her own icons, Pixie also gave some advice on dressing to feel confident and look good.
She said: “Wear what you’re comfortable in, it’s as simple as that. Don’t be dictated by trends, wear what suits you. There are definitely things I
wouldn’t wear which I don’t feel comfortable in.
“I love dresses with waist-belts, as they nip you in at your smallest part and skater skirts are great for skimming over your thighs.”

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony will go ahead with their joint fashion line despite their recent split.
The couple – who announced their separation last week – have signed a deal to create a clothing and accessories line for Kohl’s with Tommy Hilfiger which will launch in September and although their designs were set to be a collaborative effort, Jennifer will now work on the women’s collection while Marc will work on the menswear.
A spokesperson told WWD: “The Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony brands have always been positioned as two separate, distinctive collections that offer high-quality contemporary style for men and women, and we look forward to a successful September launch.”
Rick Darling, of LF USA, which sub-licenses the singers’ brands to Kohl’s, added: “We have two separate agreements with Jennifer and Marc and always intended to have separate lines. [Their split] doesn’t impact the agreements in any way.”
Although Jennifer’s first fashion collaboration Sweetface with Tommy’s brother Andy Hilfiger was a failure, he believes this will be a success because the singer has more control.
Tommy said: “The difference this time around is that Jennifer is fully engaged with a company that is professionally staffed to really develop anything she wants, from towels to knee-high suede boots. Literally, her wish is their command.”

Victoria Beckham has offered to dress Kelly Rowland for the live shows of the UK ‘X Factor’.
The fashion designer – who recently gave birth to her fourth child, a much longed-for daughter, Harper Seven – is set to send the new judge outfits from her latest collection because she knows how important it is for the former Destiny’s Child singer to look her best.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Victoria Beckham has offered to give Kelly dresses from her exclusive VB range to wear each week on the live shows. Victoria has a whole catalogue of new dresses and can’t wait to send them over to Kelly.
“Although Victoria has just had a baby, she’s always got her eye on her fashion empire and this is the perfect way to get her dresses out there. She knows how important it is for the female judges to look glamorous and up to the minute. She’s more than happy to help out.”
Kelly is joined on the panel by N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow and Tulisa has admitted she and Kelly will be competing in the style stakes.
She has said: “Me and Kelly knew they’d try and make a rivalry between us from the beginning and we talked very openly about it. I’ll say, ‘I’m well winning the style war today, Kelly,’ and we’ll just laugh.”

Lady Gaga says cocaine is “the devil”.
The Edge of Glory singer once said she was “freaked out” and “petrified” by how much she used the drug and warned her fans against it, claiming she only ever took it because she was lonely, and now regrets it.
She told radio DJ Howard Stern on New York station Z100: “To any little sweethearts that are listening – don’t touch cocaine, it’s the devil.
“I think that I was lonely and there was something about the drug that made me feel like I had a friend. And I regret every line that I ever did.
“Whatever my vagina whispers to me, I say yes – inspiration, it doesn’t come all the time.”
Gaga was a little more shy about her love life, however, fending off questions as to whether barman Luc Carl is still her boyfriend.
She said: “What boyfriend? – Who’s Jean Luc?” Before somewhat cryptically adding: “I got laid last night – the guys who are here are my best friends in the whole world.
“You’re talking about Luc Carl, he’s been my best friend since I was 19.”
She also joked: “It’s hard to find a boyfriend who doesn’t mind a good tuck,” making reference to an old story that implied she was a hermaphrodite.
