Kate's Jenny Packham dress made waves
The fashion world has been buzzing with excitement over Kate Middleton’s latest dresses.
However one that really sticks in our minds is the primrose yellow Jenny Packham dress the Duchess wore to help a seriously ill little girl to realise her dream of meeting a real life princess on the last day of her Canada tour with Prince William.
Not only was this dress simple, but the pleats and pale hue are right on-trend for this season. We’ve therefore scoured the net to find you the most similar for a fraction of the price.

Emma Watson wants to be a “warrior princess”.
The 21-year-old actress – who plays Hermione Granger in the ‘Harry Potter’ films – wants there to be more strong role models for young girls, rather than them just being taught to be pretty and polite.
She said: “I feel like young girls are told they have to be this kind of princess and be all this sweet stuff.
“It’s all bull***t. I identify with more of being a warrior princess, so if I had to be a princess, I’d have to kick some ass first. That would have a lot of people terrified.”
Emma admits her attitude has developed through playing the strong character of Hermione over 10 years and eight films, and both of them have grown together.
Speaking at the New York press conference for ‘Harry Potter and he Deathly Hallows: Part 2′, Emma added: “I’m terrified of getting into trouble. I’m very heady in the same way that she is, kind of constantly thinking three or four moves ahead.
“I try to intellectualise a lot, which she does well. She’s very determined. I am as well. I feel so much of me went into her and so much of her went into me that I can’t really differentiate too much anymore.”
Emma also clarified that she has not quit n Brown University in Rhode Island, America, to study at Oxford University in England, but is continuing her studies there for a year before returning to the US for her final year.
She added: “I mean, it’s obviously scary, change is always scary. But I feel very excited and I feel like I’m entering a new chapter and getting a fresh start. I’m going back to school in the autumn. I’ve got two years left in university.”

David and Victoria Beckham’s new daughter is believed to have been named after a Disney character.
The naming of Harper Seven, who was born in Los Angeles on Sunday, is thought to have been largely influenced by her three brothers – Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz – who wanted to call their sister Harper Finkle, a character played by Jennifer Stone in TV show ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’.
A friend of the couple told The Sun newspaper: “The boys love ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ – and have been very vocal in helping to name their new sister.
“David and Victoria think it is a lovely name. The whole family is pleased with the choice – the boys are very happy.
“Seven is something they had talked about. They were still not certain when the baby was born but it all seemed to fall into place.
“She was born in the seventh month in the hour of seven and weighed seven pounds. It just seemed right. David is keen on the meanings and power of numbers. We all hope it will bring her luck.”
The soccer superstar also wore the number seven shirt when he played for Manchester United and captained the England team.
Following the arrival of Harper, Victoria has told husband David they are not having anymore children, insisting their family is now “complete” after going through a pregnancy that left her with back pain and bunions.
A source said: “With three great boys and now a beautiful girl Victoria is insisting their family is complete.
And a friend added: “Victoria is determined not to have to go through that again.”

ayed has bought a controlling share in Issa.
The daughter of former Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed has purchased a 51 per cent share in the luxury designer clothing label, which shot to fame after Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge wore the company’s royal blue wrap dress by designer Daniella Helayel for her first official photographs as Prince William’s fiance.
Daniella – who owns a 49 per cent stake in the brand – said: “The investment will help to grow the business and take it to the next level.
“I looked at a lot of investors, and Camilla came with the best fit. She has the infrastructure behind her, she’s well connected, and she will open a lot of doors.”
The duchess wore two Issa dress on her and Prince William’s recent tour of Canada and North America, which the pair arrived back in Britain from this morning.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have also been known to wear creations by Daniella and have been spotted at her London Fashion Week shows, while celebrities including Keira Knightley and Madonna have also been drawn to the clothing.

Philip Treacy gifted 25 hats to Dame Elizabeth Taylor.
The famed milliner found the late screen legend to be a “sweetheart” when they met and was pleased he was able to surprise her with the extravagant present after she originally only requested a hatpin.
He recalled: “A couple of years ago, I got a phone call, would Mr. Treacy make a hatpin for Elizabeth Taylor? I said, ‘Might Miss Taylor like a hat to go with the hatpin?’ and the answer was yes.
“I went to see her at the Dorchester. I didn’t know whether I was going to be dealing with a very tricky person but she was a sweetheart.
“I thought it would be entertaining to do a hat show on her in her room – because, after all, she is an old lady. I tried 25 hats on her.
“She kept saying, ‘Which hat can I have?’ And at the end I said, ‘You can have them all.’ I gave her 25 hats.
“She said, ‘I must do something for you in return.’ But I’d got my return just by hanging out with her.”
Philip has designed for a range of celebrities, including Princess Beatrice, Lady Gaga and the late Isabella Blow, but insists not all of his customers are “crazy”.
He added: “I love the romance of what I do, although because of Isabella, Lady Gaga and Grace Jones, people think I have crazy customers. Sometimes I get more enthusiasm from the housewife who wants a hat and believes in it.”

Rihanna: Taken up belly dancing to keep fit
Rihanna is the new face of Emporio Armani.
The ‘California King Bed’ singer has been signed up by the Italian fashion house to appear campaigns for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans.
Rihanna – who will appear in ads for the fall-winter 2011-2012 collections, which were shot in New York City and debut in September – follows in the footsteps David and Victoria Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Megan Fox in representing the brand.
Earlier this year, Rihanna was named as spokesmodel for Nivea.
The cosmetics brand teamed up with the ‘What’s My Name’ hitmaker to celebrate their 100th anniversary and released a photo of her posing seductively and apparently naked.
A representative for the brand, Markus Pinger, said: “We are excited to have Rihanna supporting us in our celebration and building a new generation of fans.”
The 23-year-old star has previously revealed she likes to shock people with her fashion choices.
Talking about her future look, the 22-year-old star said: “I probably see a lot of menswear, or something extremely, extremely feminine. But I like to play with both. It would have to be so extreme that it’s a look, because I don’t usually like typical ladylike, girly-girly stuff. It would be a look if I were to do it. I always like something that’s a little off, so it’s just not typical or expected.”

Miranda Kerr thought she was “going to die” when giving birth to her son.
The Victoria’s Secret model – who is married to Orlando Bloom – delivered son Flynn naturally in January and while she has previously admitted her labour was “long and difficult” she has now revealed she struggled to cope giving birth without pain relief because the agony was so intense.
She said: “I actually thought I was going to die at one point and left my body. I was looking down on myself – the pain was so intense.
“I kept thinking, ‘How do women do this?’ But if other women have done this, I can do it too. I was determined.”
The 28-year-old catwalk beauty and her actor spouse share domestic duties, refusing to have a nanny, though they occasionally get night time assistance with the baby.
She told Australia’s InStyle magazine: “It’s whoever has their hands free. When I’m not working we don’t have a nanny. Some nights we have a lady who comes in to help out but Flynn is getting better at sleeping now, so not as often. And if I need to get on a plane for one day of work, I pump my milk and put it into the freezer for Orlando.”
Miranda and Orlando divide their time between Los Angeles and London but the model wants Flynn to have some of the country experiences she had growing up so has cultivated a vegetable garden in their Hollywood home.
She added: “Flynn would love it [Australia]; I had such a wonderful childhood in the country. He is going to have a diverse upbringing.”

Kate Moss has adopted a new healthy lifestyle in the hope of falling pregnant.
The British supermodel – who married The Kills rocker Jamie Hince on July 1 – is said to be on a mission to get healthy on her honeymoon so she can try for a baby as soon as the couple return from sailing around the Mediterranean on a £10 million yacht owned by Topshop boss Sir Philip Green.
A friend of the star said: “Kate peaked at her wedding with alcohol, cigarettes and bacon butties, but Jamie wants her to become healthier as they try for a child.
“Kate’s gone to the Med equipped with wheatgrass, barley grass and fish oils, with a view to getting pregnant when she comes home.”
The 37-year-old catwalk beauty – who already has an eight-year-old daughter, Lila Grace, with former partner Jefferson Hack – is keen to show spouse Jamie she can live a healthier lifestyle.
The source added to the Daily Star newspaper: “Jamie adores Kate and wants her around for a long time. She hasn’t completely cut out the booze and cigarettes just yet, but this is definitely the first step and a new side to married Kate.”
