Kristen Stewart still has a lot to “discover” about herself.
The 21-year-old actress – who is best known for playing Bella Swan in the ‘Twilight Saga’ film franchise – thinks she is often unfairly portrayed as “distant and cold” but believes she has that image because she finds out hard to talk about herself.
She told France’s StarClub magazine: “I’m sometimes told I am a very distant and cold person. In real life, I’m very shy. I feel uncomfortable during interviews because I need to talk about myself. But to talk about yourself, you have to know who you are. When it comes to that, I think there are still a lot of things I need to discover about myself.”
Kristen – who is in a relationship with ‘Twilight Saga’ co-star Robert Pattinson – also insisted she is exactly the same as everyone else and despite being famous, she shares the same life aspirations as her fans.
She added: “Being a celebrity is not really something that bothers me, it’s the way it’s talked about and how actors are perceived by others.
“People are convinced that just because we’re known, our aspirations are different from theirs. But if they only knew… Our only ambition is to have friends, a good life and interesting projects. Just like everybody.
“People need to stop believing than when I get home, all the doorknobs in my house are made of gold and that I pay someone to make sure my bath’s temperature is just the right one for me.”
Sophie Cranston says Duchess Catherine has helped her business “enormously”.
The brunette beauty was seen wearing one of Sophie’s Libelula frock coats in January and the designer says she’s very grateful of the publicity she has given the label.
She told vogue.co.uk: “Kate has helped the business enormously. Through all the press we got, people abroad began to take notice. When she first wore it, our website crashed – it went up 2,000 per cent – and we actually has to get a better servers to make sure we could cope with number of enquiries. Since then, business has grown steadily – it’s impossible to maintain that level of interest, but it’s been quite constant. She has had an amazing effect on the label. Kate looks pretty good in anything. She is fairly representative of the people that buy the brand, but we hope Libelula appeals to a wider demographic. She’s a pretty nice person to have wearing your designs though.”
Sophie also revealed how Libelula’s clothes suit most women because of the way the clothes are made.
She said: “This winter a black lace and wool dress I created just flew off the shelves. I think it was to do with the flattering shape – something I always focus on – and the contrasting fabrics. I always think about boobs and bottoms; clothes should be flattering. A lot of shapes are initially cut in a size 14-16, so that everyone looks gorgeous in them.”
Geri Halliwell wanted to create a range of underwear for women that men would also like.
The former Spice Girls singer has designed a range of undergarments with British retail giants Next – following on from her swimwear and evening dress collections – and she admits she wanted to do a different style to what she usually sees.
Geri said: “Basically, my aim was to make boobs look bigger and bums smaller!
“I feel I understand women’s bodies. This was my chance to do the sort of underwear for girls that the boys would like too, if you know what I mean!”
Among the looks are bras and knickers in pinks and florals as well as negligee and nudes.
Geri previously confessed she was delighted with her evening dress collection, which were stylish yet affordable.
She said: “I’ve been sketching everything myself and I’m thrilled with the results. I’ve had the opportunity to make dresses that are not stupidly expensive but still elegant enough to wear to an upmarket event.”

Leighton Meester wants her shoes to “speak” to her.
The ‘Gossip Girl’ actress says she loves all types of footwear and will pick out shoes on whether she likes them, not on who they’re designed by.
She said: “I search for shoes that really speak to me, not the designer. “If it’s my daily kind of shoe, I usually go for the same type of style, like a platform with a thick heel. But I think variety is important.”
She also says she’s quite practical when it comes to her footwear and would never walk her dog in heels.
She said: “When I’m walking the dog, I wear sneakers because they look and feel better.”
Leighton, 25, recently revealed she is a huge fan of luxurious French footwear label Roger Vivier because they are classic designs with a modern twist.
She said: “Vivier is a very classic look, but then they have stuff with studs…they have a signature and the shoes are beautifully made but they still have an edge. I love those gloves.”
If you’re going out this Halloween weekend but aren’t sure what to dress up as – of if you should dress up at all – finding the right outfit can be a nightmare! One simple, yet eye-catching way of adding a bit of ‘something’ to your appearance is investing in fake eyelashes. Luckily there are lots to choose from these days so you shouldn’t have a problem finding a pair.
Selfridges has a great selection of false eye lashes by well-known brands like Shu Uemura and Mac, as well as dramatic make-up brand for your alter ego, and a ShinyShiny favourite, Illamasqua. We also love the paper lashes from PAPERSELF. Inspired by the art of Chinese paper-cutting these lashes blend an element of traditional culture with contemporary design.
Take inspiration above for your next party – just don’t forget to bat those lashes!

Gisele Bundchen’s son thinks broccoli is “dessert”.
The Brazilian supermodel has tricked her 22-month-old son Benjamin – her child with her husband, NFL player Tom Brady – into thinking the healthy vegetable is a treat food to get him to eat it.
She said: “My children, they are like white canvases. When Benjamin eats broccoli, he thinks it’s dessert!”
Gisele is also stepmother to Tom’s four-year-old son Jack with his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan and she has revealed he is a budding martial artist.
The 31-year-old catwalk beauty told the new UK issue of Vogue magazine: “You know, my eldest Jack, he’s gonna be starting kung fu this fall.”
Gisele – who is one of the world’s most sought after models – also credits her success with her hard work ethic, something she thinks her sisters could benefit from taking notice of.
She said: “Yeah, well, like I tell my five sisters, who don’t work at it very hard at all, whatever you put in, you get out. I’m not afraid of working hard at anything, whatever it is. I just always want to be the best that I can.”

Skin
During the winter your skin will dry up against the cold weather. The skin on your face is significantly thinner than the rest of your body and is more sensitive to the cold weather as it is the most exposed.
For normal skin types, if your skin becomes dry, your body will over produce oil to compensate and this will result in an outbreak of spots. Therefore, it is vital that you keep moisturising during the winter. Oil based products containing Jojaba oil, for example, are often good for dry skin because the skin quickly absorbs the oil, without giving you a shiny finish.
Everyone’s skin reacts differently to different products and so it can often be hard to find the right product for you. To avoid unwanted reactions to various products, why not start with something for sensitive skin such as Aloe Vera.
Aloe Vera beauty products are typically designed for sensitive skin and tend not contain alcohol and are odourless.
If you find that you have oily skin, Tea Tree related products dry out the skin.
If you have already found a face moisturiser that works well for you, you may just want to apply more during the winter months.
Hair
Whilst the hot air of a hair dryer can be comforting in the winter, unfortunately this is bad news for your hair. Hair can become dry and brittle after blow-drying, straightening and using curling tongs. One way to combat this is to towel dry your hair and use plenty of conditioner! There are many leading brands, which offer different types of conditioner for different hair types, such as Pantene. Alternatively, if you have the time and resources, you could make your own hair mask from olive oil, bananas, honey and other household food items.
Make-up
If you want to add some colour to your cheeks this winter, but don’t want to look like you’ve been in the Bahamas for the last week, why not create your own tinted moisturiser. If you have any liquid bronzer or fake tan left from the summer but not enough to complete the look, you could create your own tinted moisturiser by adding some to your daily moisturiser. Not only will this save you money, but it will also keep you and your skin happy.
Cracked lips are a common winter problem. Although there is little risk of sunburn during an English winter, you might want to consider buying a lip balm or lipstick with an SPF 15. This is because SPF lip balms help fight against the cold weather, jam-packed with essential oils, which help soothe and repair sensitive skin.
Yes, we know, we haven’t even got past Halloween yet, but when we spot a Christmas collection we can’t but help get excited.
And today it’s Topshop that’s got us all giddy with a whole range dedicated to the Christmas Party season. We heart the sequined dresses and tops as well as the Luxe jumpers and intricate beading.
And for those who want to go all vintage there’s also a few feathered pieces to choose from too. Roll on December.
H&M have collaborated with the costume designer from ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ to create a capsule collection inspired by protagonist Lisbeth Salander.
Trish Summerville has created all the outfits for Lisbeth (played by Rooney Mara) in the US adaptation of the Swedish film and she revealed she jumped at the chance to give the troubled heroine’s clothes a more “realistic fashion feel” for the Swedish retailer.
She told WWD: “We put a lot of aged-in washes and finishes, which goes along the lines of the Salander character. In the film, her clothes are quite extreme. They’re really worn down, they’re dirty. So for us, it was taking that kind of concept and giving it more of a realistic fashion feel.”
Anna Norling, division designer at H&M, said the company wanted to make Lisbeth’s clothes more flattering and feminine.
She explained: “We were really strongly inspired by the film and especially by Trish’s styling, but the collection wouldn’t have looked as it does without H&M, because we added the fashion point of view. I’m very happy with the result and I know that Trish is as well.”
Items in the range include tribal-style earrings, a leather jacket, which comes in washed black or deep burgundy, hoodies and lace-up boots.
The collection will make its debut at Paris boutique Colette on November 28.
